If you want to keep M Morgan an option could be Out: J Bateman, A Keighran, In: P Herbert, K Ponga.
or Out: M Aubusson, L Burr, In: P Herbert, J Taumalolo

Trade Morgan could be
Out: M Morgan, L Garner (via M Aubusson), In: K Ponga, P Herbert
Thanks. The other thing I’m wondering, is there any benefit in upgrading Hodgson?

Dependent on your future plans regarding your 17 as upgrading Hodgson means you'll likely play the backup hooker at 17 all season. Farrah below 490,000 would be the prime candidate in comparison to Smith due to the cash differential making the upgrade from Hodgson to Farrah inexpensive. Removing his concussion affected 6 he is averaging 78.29 this season thus presenting a great value selection but I think if you were to upgrade it would only be worthwhile for this round due to his low breakeven.

Farah was who I was thinking, it is just his bye putting me off as I need a couple more playing R12.

Selected C Smith last week over D Cook and R Farah and could have paired him with R Farah as well last week but the bye was the major deterrence. Premium wise for RD16 isn't very appealing which is why I'm targeting S Burgess, J Taumalolo, B Ferguson, R Martin, etc in the next month.

Turning those RD16 rookies/midpricers into RD12 premiums/midpricers could help you gain more numbers but is dependent on whether you are hoping to utilise the byes to surge up the rankings or not bother to gain your ideal team and cop the potential score/rank drop.

CTW, FB and FR are great so I'd look to upgrade/trade the HFB/58 bench players or T Kamikamica and B Smith.

An option could be B Smith to R Farah leaving you with 150,000 to possibly trade D Brown/CHT to R Garrick (via K Ponga and CNK) thus leaving you with either 20,000 or 120,000.

Or another option with McCullough's injury is J Turpin for B Smith increasing your remaining salary to 470,000 allowing Kamikamica to J Taumalolo and 140,000 left. Next week you could trade CHT to Dearden freeing up 160,000 allowing you to trade Brown (via Ponga and CNK) to a CTW around 530,000.

If you want to trade V Kikau then you have sufficient cash to trade him and B Smith to J Taumalolo and R Farah or CNK instead of B Smith to B Ferguson via D, Brown, K Ponga and CNK)

In regards to premiums to target @KLo30 and @7/11 might provide better recommendations but my opinion in no particular order would be
R Farah
S Burgess
R Martin
J Taumalolo
B Ferguson
A Crichton
L Mitchell

Would be holding Kikau as he is half a chance to play this weekend. Even if he doesn't, the current outlook on his injury is pretty good so he could be back soon.

Would go with Kamikamica > Taumalolo if you can afford it now. Gives you an extra bye option and strong scorer. However, his BE is 119 currently so you can probably wait one more week for the low score to be out of his system and save you a bit of a cash potentially.

EDIT: Read that you noted this (kikau's potential return from injury) as I was typing.

Would greatly appreciate your advice on a 2RF to bring in this week or RD11 before Taumalolo in RD10.
It's between the trio of S Burgess, R Martin and V Kikau.
S Burgess- DPP
R Martin- great base
V Kikau- would grab him in RD11

Currently leaning towards R Martin but I really like Burgess due to his DPP allowing him and M Taupau/S Lane to be switched around this season. Also in regards to S Burgess if I wanted to open up the DPP later on I could trade Haas to him later in the season allowing me to get R Martin this week.

I think Martin has hit his bottom dollar with a BE of 50, so this would be the week to grab him.
Burgess has the better attacking stats but doesn't have quite the base of Martin as his work rate isn't as high being on the edge rather than the middle.
Kikau similar to Burgess in that he doesn't have the same work rate.

In terms of consistency, I would rate them:

Martin
Burgess
Kikau

In terms of attacking upside:

Burgess
Kikau
Martin

I like Kikau but you're going to ride some horrid scores, especially when Penrith play the better defensive teams.

If I were you I'd probably grab Martin as he'll punch out 60's each week with the odd 85-100 when the Bulldogs have a good week.

Thanks as I value your advice and insight in this format. Taumalolo is a lock next week for Waddell thus finishing my 2RF (J Trbojeivc, J Arrow, R Martin, J Taumalolo, C Murray, S Lane) and thanks for the reassurance in R Martin.

Would you trade Haas to Burgess before RD12 or later in the season completing my FR (A Fifita, M Taupau, A Tolman, S Burgess) which allows me to switch him with Lane in 2RF if injuries are present and if I want to switch around my 17 or would you rather keep Haas and allocate it to help get D Cook.

I quite like Haas as an option in my squad so I personally wouldn't trade him. You do seem set on trading him out, so doing it for Burgess will give you an extra RD12 player. His BE is 12 this week and a strong score will see him keep going up in price (potentially past 450K in 3-4 weeks time).

You should remember though that you're going to end up quite thin on options come the RD16 bye if you go very heavy on players for this first bye.

Cook might not be a must have at this point for you. I'd wait until origin is over and just upgrade the rest of your team in the meantime.

To give you an idea of what I want by RD17-18 here is my 'ideal' team (Bolded not owned):

D.Cook, C.Smith
Fifita, S.Burgess, Klemmer, Haas
Arrow, J.Trbojevic, Taumalolo, C.Murray, Taupau + cheapie who plays round 16
DCE, cheapie (probably will end up with Dearden in one week's time to free up cash)
Ponga, cheapie (who plays round 16)
Gutherson, Nikora, CNK, L.Mitchell, Bateman + 2 cheapies who play round 16
Tedesco,
RTS (T.Trbojevic just too risky after another hamstring injury plus RTS plays RD16)

You might be wondering 'how on earth is he going to fund that?' I've got enough cash cows/players that will be able to fund it quite easily in Burns, Ravalawa, Waddell, Napa and Lane (plus the 320K I have currently).

Round 9
Whitbread > H.Young (I goofed, didn't expect him not to play and got caught out. Trading to Hudson Young who should make some decent cash whilst Bateman is out)

Waddell > Taumololo round 10
CHT > Dearden round 10

Rounds 11-12 undecided and rounds 13-15 geared towards getting RTS and guys who play round 16.

Thanks.
My ideal team using your structure is:
HOK: C Smith, (D Cook)
FRF: A Fifita, M Taupau, (A Tolman, ?)
2RF: J Trbojevic, J Taumalolo, J Arrow, (R Martin, S Lane, C Murray)
HFB: N Cleary, (HFB/5/8 random/ S Johnson to switch with M Morgan)
5/8: K Ponga, (M Morgan)
CTW: C Gutherson, B Ferguson, E Marsters, J Bateman, (CNK, B Nikora, ?)
FB: J Tedesco, (RTS)

23 trades left.
Next week: Out: CHT, C Waddell, In: T Dearden (will be traded later in season for HFB/5/8), J Taumalolo
Unsure on when but Sivo, Xerri, Okunbor, Haas will be used for RTS, D Cook, J Bateman from RD12 onwards.

In regards to RD16 not too bothered as hopefully my RD12 players can compensate and there isn't many RD16 players I want in my final team that aren't already there.

Could there be any benefit in doubling down this week? I could trade Bateman and Aubusson to Young and Herbert leaving a bank of $570k for a couple more upgrades before Round 12. Would leave me with the following team (highlighted for how Round 12 is currently looking)
