Here's my story sad but true.

Pre season confidently thinks Mundy will benefit from Neale going to Brissy and will get more mid time/points.

Spends $ 520,300 for him as a season keeper.

Pre season admits on this forum that Westhoff is a little overpriced but with his durability will select him as ruck cover to avoid any late rushed trades when/if a ruck goes down, also allows me to buy a cheap Mummy and have cover while he serves his suspension.

Mundy scores a total of 108 for the first two games, will lose cash next round and is not getting enough TOG. Must trade him now while I can still get some value for him, Robbie Gray looks in touch opening the season going at 98.5 lets go sideways to him for $ 525,500.

Mundy then scores 5 tons in the next six games with a low of 83 and a high of 151 averaging 118.5 in these games and actually gaining cash after losing for one week only. Gray meanwhile scores 262 in four games at 65.5 loses over $ 100k a gets injured scoring me a bench donut then being traded. All week Ie Tim Kelly sitting in my team as Robbies replacement then because Mummy is injured and I don't like who I can sideways Mummy to Hoff comes back in instead of Telly as I decide it is too early in the season to suck a donut especially at R2, thanks for the 41 points Justin.

Back to Hoff.

Starts the season with 149 at R2 and Blue Dreamer looks like Blue Genius. This is followed by 47 and 39. Despite having traded Mundy a week sooner BD usually sticks with any alleged premos that he starts with for an extended period as he knows usually there will be a reversion to the mean BUT Dusty Martin gats an injury and looks like a bad selection. BD doesn't have P Cripps and the only way to turn Dusty into Crippa is to downgrade elsewhere so Hoff becomes D Moore before he loses cash to enable Dusty to Cripps. (I still actually like this part of the story).

Sam freaking Menegola.

Traded him in last week before he was a late out.

Now he needs a knee clean out and will miss a month.
Same too.

Friggin hate Geelong and the baloney they pull with selections and late outs.

Menegola trade yielded zero points, wasted 1 trade.

Let's compare the pair ... A.Brayshaw vs Yeo

R1 - Brayshaw 89 - Yeo 83
R2 - Brayshaw 124 - Yeo 72
R3 - Brayshaw 108 - Yeo 85

3 round average: Brayshaw 107 - Yeo 80

Yeo started at around 580k & looked like haemorrhaging cash in the foreseeable future. Brayshaw looked a sound buy. What do I do? Flick Yeo to help fix other areas.

Post R3 average: Brayshaw 79 - Yeo 116.5 *Inclusive of last night.

Go and get stuffed Brayshaw you absolute fraud of a footballer. FML.

Watching him this season, in my personal opinion he has the worst disposal and ball handling skills of any 500k+ mid in the entire league.

The thing about Adams, M.Crouch, B.Crouch, Oliver, Coniglio and Treloar is yes they may butcher their kicks now and then but they always have exceptional hands and hand skills. They don’t fumble and their handballs always hit the target.

The killer is Brayshaws hands, he is the worst handballer I’ve seen this year from watching most Melbourne games.

He can’t even hit handball targets, the amount of times he would handball about a metre behind or over the top of his team mates was ridiculous last night. He has been incredibly fumbly this year highlighted 4-5 times last night and epitomised in the 1st quarter when he fumbled over his feet uncontested and just fell all over the ball.

It’s actually nuts that he came 3rd in a Brownlow!

only averaging 121.42 after I traded him after 2 rounds ?
He actually just wants me to delete my team. Never considered such a drastic measure before but David has driven me to it. The guy scored 105 points in the first 2 games... It's actually the most ridiculous turn around in supercoach I can ever remember as not a single person, even the ones who bang on about never trading premiums, would have recommended holding him.

Just leaving this rant invitation here with observation that should Boak score less than 41 points tomorrow that David Mundy will be the highest averaging forward this year.

Well played Yasi, harsh but well played.

I am pretty much in the same spot as ZP, only saving grace is I traded him to TKelly...imagine if I had taken...

Totally annoying & frustrating you take a punt on a guy at the start of the season , everything you learn says trade him after 2 poor rounds , and he does this......I am trying not to check Freo scores each week.

I’m absolutely spewing as a previous Cogs owner (til this week) that THIS is the game he misses.

Would’ve been a lock for 110+ and easily could’ve joined the brigade in a 140+.

Ah well he’s gone now.
