Whitfield scores a massive 170 on his return meaning I have to fast track bringing him in which I do this week (forcing him in with Gardner as my downgrade) and slap the VC on him.

Cogs.

Also pretty annoyed at Matt for continuing to say it’ll be one week so trading Cogs and holding Crouch for 3 weeks. Would’ve got Cogs 203 yesterday if I just backed my gut and moved on Crouch instantly and not Cogs who was back the week after.

I didn’t have to trade him. But Sauce Jacobs kicked 5 and scored 200 and something in his first game back in the ressies. And I needed to trade someone down to put $ in the bank for bye round upgrades. So I traded ROB after his 60 something to a ruck / forward donut. Two days after I trade him the Adelaide coach comes out in the press and gives him a big wrap and says Jacobs is no lock to take his place. Three days later he comes out and spanks 182. He would have been my 19th player this round. Any late outs and I eat a donut.

ROB ... how to make an awesome pick taste like ash in your mouth. Why do I waste my time playing this stupid game.

2019 calamities
  • Lost key league match to bitter rival in main money league when cruising to victory after Fyfe KOed in 3rd quarter.
  • Lost in same league by 2 points the following week when Billings kicked goal in last 7 seconds (scoring about 20 for doing so)
  • Traded out Fyfe expecting him to miss at least 2 with possible lingering effects. (Only missed 1 and had no lingering effects)
  • Held Whitfield after corkie when coach indicating he was very close the next week (ended up missing 3)
  • Captained Danger in his week of 26 (26!!!!!!)
  • Traded Coniglio when he was struggling with hand injury and expected him to miss a few (only missed 1 and scored 200+ in 2nd week back)
  • Held Mouch in that same week when coach indicated he was very close. (ended up missing 3)
  • Traded Mouch after missing 3rd week after some rumour he had aggravated his injury (returned the following week and scored 120+)
  • In that same week held Rockliff after travelling to China and only just missing according to coach and will certainly be back after the bye. (Not back after the bye)
  • Lose Whitfield, Stocker, Burgess, Young and Rockliff didn’t return in the bye rounds guaranteeing 2 doughnuts at least in round 13.
...at least I have ROB this week.

Twice now I’ve had the opportunity to grab J Dunkley this season and both times I’ve decided to grab a different option for 70,000 less (Westhoff in RD8 and C Daniel in RD13). A nuisance as I planned to grab him for Baker for quite some time but with poor cash gen and low trades in addition to concerns surrounding Bewley and insufficient cash to grab D Clarke with J Dunkley, decided with C Daniel who I hadn’t really considered up until 24-48 hours before the Adel Vs Rich game.

Hopefully C Daniel can decrease the differential for the remainder of the season or an injury to another forward allows me the opportunity to finally bring Dunkley in.

Bad luck.... CDaniel had a great score as well but Dunkley has just gone to another level this season....

Impressed and relieved with C Daniel's last quarter which helped to reduce the differential and will be intriguing to see who gains the ascendancy for the remainder of the season and to what extent. Could potentially bring Dunkley in for Burgess in RD14 but I think that would be unwise.

I thought Clarko was a genius but Sicily forward is absolutely ******. It would be like Richmond playing Rance forward.

Why move the best intercept defender in the league forward where they’ve shown they’re barely VFL quality the rest of their career in that position. Move O’Brien or someone forward who isn’t very good down back anyway and at least you’ll still have the star defender back there.

Ironically, Clarko the last two weeks has highlighted that Hawks just can’t score enough which is why Sicily is down forward. He then goes on to say however, there haven’t been enough inside 50’s or clean disposal into the forward line....Ah do you think maybe the issue is the midfield then not the forward line as to why scores aren’t being kicked...

For a genius, it’s either an incredibly smart way of tanking or just idiotic for once in his coaching career.
