Thoughts on Duursma to Whitfield and Baker/O'Brien to Young?
Considering those two myself if Young is named, but I cant see Young being much of a scorer. Low possession count means 30-50 type player I think.

wow that is damn impressive congratulations

how many of Hurn , Lloyd , Whitfield do you have ?

I have Mummy , ROB , Bines may well be case of monitoring how Soldo goes again this week (if he gets off).

Totally agree with you about the Rucks and the gap between 1&2 and 3 , I doubt I can get even one of them without compromising my other upgrades.

A left field selections who me hahaha , I was on Weller watch last week but didn't really impressed me , Trengrove mmmm interesting.

Problem is I only have $ 10 k to play with and not confident on the 1 game rookies to downgrade to although I may just need to check Cripps BE and expected price drop.

Thanks for the thoughts
Starting team:
Lloyd, Whifield, Moore
Cripps, Fyfe, Macrae, Dusty (sold, not avg premo), Rocky*, Crouch*, Libba* (sold, role change) Walsh [*Yep heavy but I thought they were the 3 best mid pricers available]
Gawn, Goldy (sold, not averaging high enough)
Danger, Heeney (sold, injured), Dunkley

Basically I bet against Grundy (hampered preseason, hasn't worked out well for me) and Zac Williams who I thought might take some time warm back up and be hampered by still having shaw around. Yes I've sold premos, something I normally shy away from. I've missed a lot on rookie roulette and am once again sitting here with two brad scott POS rookies not playing in the 1st team, otherwise I would be a lot higher. I've failed to pull the trigger on Boak, Mundy and Hurn at various points otherwise I could really be at the pointy end.

It would be good if SC would let us have a 'Pass' each week, where we don't have to have 30 players to complete a team. This week would be ideal, to trade out a cashed-up Rookie this weekend and wait another weekend to decide which Rookie to bring in. :)

We're gonna end up with the exact same 8 midfielders.
I'm secretly hoping for a free swap for Brouch to Cogs when his finger is better... but yes.... I was OMG, our mids are going to be the same. Purchasing Neale this week I think...90% sure...will have a completed mid. Only thing holding this off is some random Trengove/Ziebell mistake that I'm trying to avoid.

Should I trade Williams to Lloyd?
Need to keep rank not so worried about leagues
I feel like they may let Williams have a couple weeks break

nice starting side

I certainly (obviously) have made many mistakes this season.

Not starting at least 1 of Gawn & Grundy the biggest , neither look like dropping under $ 600k.

The other is not starting any of Laird/Lloyd/Sicily/Simpson/Whitfield just need to suck it from now on and ignore their starting price and start at least one.

Ignored Williams , Smith , Rocky , Libba all to my detriment (keep reading too many midpricers)

Sure learn from the past but don't let it dictate the future.

But once again in this game you need the right rookies from the start to provide points and $$$ , without them you have no hope of being at the pointy end.

Like most I am stuck with half my bench proving no value at all.

I have 17 trades left with realistically 7 upgrades to do and at the moment only 2 viable options on my bench to provide any $$$.

Am I enjoying this season ? NO

Am I any good at this game ? NO

Will I keep trying to get better (and give myself a ulcer in the process) ? OF COURSE I WILL

Just need to realise that when others are pumping out 2400+ I need to be satisfied with 2200.

But geez my 2020 side is looking good ???

Good luck for the rest of your season.

Does Sauce even come back in? His last couple seasons have been underwhelming and ROB has come in and looked right at home. He’s there with English and Marshall as the most exciting developing rucks, I’d be putting games into him.

very good question , certainly is performing each week so it might be his spot to lose.

I would expect Sauce needs at least 1-2 games in the SANFL so they might keep ROB until at least their Bye round.

This is my current team:

Def: Whitfield, Stewart, Sicily, Smith, Williams, Hore (Wilkie, Answerth)
Mid: Cripps, Oliver, Macrae, Merrett, Coniglio, Libba, Walsh, Stack (Duursma, Stocker, Scott)
Ruc: Grundy, Goldy (Bines)
Fwd: Telly, Danger, Heeney, Baker, Balta, Corbett (Drew, Parker)

16 trades and 273k in the bank.

Now I'm pretty sure my forward line is where I should be focusing my attention. Not really loving any of the options I've got at the moment but thinking I might have to concede and bring Boak. I think this is going to be as cheap as Lloyd and Hurn get this year, and for that reason I might miss them both and try and get in Blakely instead.

Does anyone have any different opinions to that? Is there someone else I should be looking at for my forwards?
Looking at your DEF line you've got an easy path into Lloyd with BSmith or Hore (who as well as he is playing will probably be out of the team once the marquee signings return), so I wouldn't stress too much there.

Not sure about what to do with Boak - I've got a couple more mid pricers (Dunkley and Worpel) but the Boak question still plagues me on a number of fronts (can he keep up scoring at 105+, where is his floor as we haven't really seen a bad game from him yet, with three prems locked in already should I be looking at a POD / underpriced prem, etc).

At this stage:

Drew -> Young
Moore -> Stewart

Williams to the bench and hope Answerth, Clark and Hayes hold their spots.

Not quite sure which way to go this week with a few rookies in danger of losing value. I'm considering cashing in O'Brien but but wasn't sure whether to use all of that cash to upgrade a Parker/Gibbons to a top level premium, or whether to upgrade a Duursma or Moore instead and leave some cash in bank to have a few more options next week?

Currently running Hore & Duursma at D5/D6, Moore & Larkey at F5/F6, Walsh at M7 & one of Gibbons/Atkins/Hayes at M8.

I might flick Williams then if he's out. Can go straight to Lloyd, but can't get Jelly this week as planned.

I might go early on Fort if named.
