Think i'll stick with plan and go Walsh, Hore & Answerth for Boak, Blakely & Macrae

Will probably miss out on the last 15k or so from Walsh but want to keep moving forward. Gonna roll the dice on Blakely going into the mids before long. Not wild about Boak but he has looked good and not confident on any other forwards to beat him.
Mind if I grill you for some detail on your opinion that Blakely will be given a mid gig eventually?

You must have heard/read/seen some things that lead you to this assumption otherwise it would be a blind stab in the dark which i doubt you'd make.

Mundy maybe back to rotating from forward to make way? Who fills Blakely's role down back if that's the case? Oh, i have questions, many questions for you lol....:sneaky:

That will throw a bit of a spanner into the works with R13 upgrades - will have to go back to the drawing board on the MBR trade sequence now that Burgess, Walsh and ROB will make more cash (might be able to swing that final rookie upgrade in the mids).
Is it too much to expect Burgess to be the next rookie late break out player, the next superstar like Balta and Gibbons?

ha ha who would have thought.

Surprised my team has travelled well without Balta, Gibbons, Miers and Stack to make money. Turfed some guys early, good to see Walsh, Hore and Duursma have a cracked at going next level up.

Can get to 18 next week if I also trade Answerth to Bewley, not sure it is worth it? thoughts.

Bewley job security a little weak with Hill to come back and with sub 50 scores, not a huge $$ generator currently.

Also, this spot may go to a midfielder for Baker/Smith/Burgess in round 14, if I can find someone else to downgrade.

Think Sicily/Boak the pick of the round 12 bye players to bring in (have Dunkley/Macca/Fyfe). Clarke and Gardener the best rookies, former scoring power and latter JS.

The problem I have is that, after not doing a one-down this week, I'm pretty much forced to do a one-down next week.

That will have to be either a flyer on someone like Gardner / Naish / Clarke, or Bewley, as literally the only bubble boy.

The MBR's are starting to get a little messy now with trades burning a hole in my pocket and rookies unexpectedly putting up strong scores in the past couple of weeks. The way things are panning out I may still have one or two rookies playing for a couple of rounds after the MBR's. :(

Straight swap Baker to Buddy!!
18 disposals, only 5 contested. Was at the game, Eagles mids were woeful putting pressure on Swans mids, easy entries into the 50.

Not sure he gets it that easy in most weeks. even Papley was taking uncontested marks 25m out when the ball was coming in from a deep pocket. Think Hurn out impacted defence more than normal.

I will likely go 1-2 down today, to get in early. Gardener and Clarke probably the best. Don't think Shiel back will displace Clarke although may impact mid time.

Taggers are totally underrated, amazing how much a quality team can be reeled in if best mid reduced.

Think it was just a classic Buddy spike game. He kicked 8.1 and 2.7 in the last 2 meetings before that for a 135 average.

Something about the Eagles and McGovern that he lifts against.

Wouldn’t over read into it too much if I had no thoughts of picking up Buddy before that match. If they did then consider it but yeah I think just a spike game.

Was thinking:

Hore, Clark, Balta
To
Ryan, Naish, Daniel

But now thinking:

Answerth, Clark, Balta
To
Clarke/Gardner, Naish, Daniel/Walters

Leaves me around 200k to play with the next week (O’Brien -> Grundy or Baker -> Oliver).

If Hore scores another tonne do we just keep him through the bye rounds?

I think he’s nearly a keeper at this point and might not be worth losing 100k for a small gain in Ryan and a lost trade.
Depends if that prevents a donut this week, even if Ryan averages 10 points more per game that automatically goes up to 20 points more if he is avoiding a donut.

He’s also not a keeper in my opinion, he’s put up 3 90+ scores for the year but you are better off holding him than Smith

Z. Williams, Laird, Andrews, Smith, Hore, Witherden...

Isn't that just filthy? Thinking of upgrading/sidewaysing at least one this week.

How would you rank them?

Considering Luke Ryan, Sic and POD gem Johannisen as potential trade-ins.
