Holding - actually showed some positive signs in Monday and he has dropped so far that it would be essentially doubling the dose by ditching him while he has a low BE.

He does have history in terms of being able to go on a hot streak so that's enough for me to keep him for a few more rounds.
Yeah I kept him in RDT also

Team below before trades this week. 9 left with only 8,100k.

In my situation with cash gen looking grim and trades low, should I be looking at cheaper upgrade options?

If I decide to keep Hore, then defence is complete. Answerth in mids atm but I read somewhere here that he has good JS, so maybe keep him for defence cover when I trade Clark.

Somehow I've managed to not have Boak, Telly or Dunkley in my forwards, I think I should probably be targeting one of these players?

Mids just ok and would like one of Fyfe or Jelly to finish off.

If I manage to complete my team I can see one of Gawn or Grundy copping an injury and I have no ruck cover, Westhoff is the only real option. Dixon due back soon, maybe this helps Hoff, but probably not.

I've gone early on a few rookies already, but may have to do it again.

Best case senario this week is 16 warm bodies before trades.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. (y)

Thanks Conn, yeah, have tried all of those trade options, lol. Just not sure or feel happy with them at this stage, will have to ponder a little more. Your efforts to help people and informative posts are really appreciated. :)(y)

I would keep Hore as a D6. You have 9 trades for 2 upgrades:

Balta and Atkins. I’d go hard for super premo’s there leaving you 5 trades for injuries or sideways moves later on in the season or even another defender and having Hore at D7 leaving 3 trades after 1 up 1 down moves.

This week I would be looking at the following moves (assuming all named):

Out: Balta, Clark, Atkins
In: Boak, Bewley (via Answerth), Clarke

By moving Atkins out that leaves you with around 150k for next week which you’d have to bank for a little bit to allow your cash cows to ride over the coming weeks so you can do a 1 up 1 down of a rookie down and say Scott or Answerth up to a fallen mid premium like Merrett/M.Crouch/Treloar type.

This week looks really tough as you have so many outs but I’d still be focusing on premiums you want to finish the side with than keeping players just because they’ll play this week. For example Balta could get 25-60 this week which isn’t that many points and likely drops 40k which hurts as he’ll be on you’ll be upgrading anyway. He will also miss round 14 meaning you’ll get another scorer in in Boak for both weeks so it isn’t technically any lost points anyway just a possible loss of GAINED points by moving someone else who isn’t playing this week to someone who is playing this week.

Thanks for the detailed response QI. I have tried those exact trades and is probably my preferred option. I'm ok with copping a donut or 2 if it means my team will be better off in the weeks to come. Appreciate the help. (y)

Thanks for the response. Still torn, for some reason I see treloar having a big end of the years.
I wouldn't be surprised if Treloar has a big finish. The reason I am keeping away from selecting Pies players (besides Grundy) is that there are a lot of good players to share the points around, so I'm not confident that there will be any very big scorers (exception Grundy).

Not if you need an extra player this week.
Not really, would have 20 with him, just feel his points this week might be handy. I reckon he'll go alright tomorrow night against the crows with the Tiger outs. I can do the same trades I want I think using Hayes in place of Baker for one more week.

I'm actually thinking L Baker won't reach his 87 BE, because the Tigers are down on good players, playing away and the Crows will run all over them, meaning Baker won't have much of the ball. Lately the Tigers have scored low.

This is kinda where my head is at, and also that the cash you stand to lose doesn't affect an upgrade next week.
Me too. I'm waiting for the teams to see actually how many Rookies I will have playing. If I can field 19 players (looking like it) then I will trade out Baker.
