I've got a situation where: 1. I'll have 4 premo Dogs, plus Gardner and: 2. this week I have no VC/C options other than Cripps and Macrae/Dunkley (Bont.) Is it worth Gray and say Fyfe or Zerrett for this week as a VC loop option. (I'm sure the answer is no... but I've got pre-game, pre trade nerves.)
Tough one Zimmer, seems like one too many Doggies in there. Can you go Fyfe and someone else? Not very eager on Gray.

Think I'm going to go with these before I head off to the game:

Answerth, J. Clark, Hayes
-->
Sicily, Blakely, D. Clarke

Blakely over Ryan is a risk. But I like Blakely for mid time and Ryan for a regression. Got to make-up points somewhere.

Have you already got Bewley? Or skipping him for Clarke?

I reckon I will wait a week on Sicily and do:

Whitfield/Atkins/Clark > Gardner/Fyfe/Boak

Skipping Bewley and hoping Clarke continues to get a game next week.

Fyfe will give me a VC option and Sicily shouldn't go up too much in price I think.

I brought Clarke in last year, scored 34 and never saw him again. I'm sure it's different this time around. ?

FWIW I think I just did the worst trade ever.. realised I had 12 bye players for next week plus Bines and Young... meaning minimum two trades to get 18 onfield next week

Cogs to Daniel via Telly, will upgrade Larkey next week when I have $$$

Should I trade rocky? Only got 16 playing. Can get in Zerrett, Henderson, or Boak.

Got ROB’s score but still feel missing 100 points might hurt.

I could have used three trades for a nineteenth man, but I chose quality over quantity.

Still feel dirty though.

Thanks guys, 50/50. I might read a few more posts and make a last minute decision before tonight's game.
Sorry to add more opinions..I am going with Ryan. They released some stats on Ryan vs sic. It was posted on the forum. Basically there stats are very similar but Ryan is taking more kick ins which Hardwick is the prime kick taker for the hawks. Also hawks play eagles twice soon. The last time
They play against each other is round 23. If your playing for leagues traditionally sic doesn’t score well against the eagles. I hope that helps

I do some dumb things, which is probably why I am no good at this game...all week I was set on bringing in Sicily/Boak/Bewley, but have ended up going Ryan/Daniel/Clarke!

Moore/Stocker/Steele > Clarke/Ryan/Daniel

For those who still have undecided trades for this Round.
Western Bulldogs play 7 of their next 9 games at Marvel:
Carl, Coll, (Port @ Ade Oval), Geel, Melb, StK, Fre, (Lions @ Gabba), Ess, (GWS @ Show), (Ade @ Mars)

Bontempelli - $543,000 - Priced at 106.5 - B/E 133

Some might be put off by his B/E. Bonts most recent scores v Carl: 104, 124, 145, 120 - ave 2017 to today 123.3

Here is the Bonts record at Marvel from 2017 to today:

I’m thinking of doing Mummy to R Gray via DPP. I think that’s a good trade, but just wanted to check:

- Does anyone know why Gray scored poorly in rounds 4-6? I see Wines played all three games.

- Is there a reason why his TOG is so low? 90 and 94% in the first two games, but has played 74-81% since round 4.

No idea, he was withdrawn from AFLX in the preseason with knee soreness, so possibly a recurrence of that, apart from that he only had a clash of heads with Ryder and his broken hand.

I owned him during that period. He was getting mid time but was so fumbly during that whole time. Not sure if he was carrying an injury but he didn’t really look injured, just kept making skill errors. I thought maybe it was just age.

But at $400k, I wouldn’t have too many concerns getting him, super value. A 90 avg is fine at that price

Thanks mate, I had actually forgotten the hand injury occurred so early in the North game - that explains one of them, would be averaging close to 90 if you strip that out.

Great colour, thank you ... Fanfooty suggested he played mainly forward against WC and was comfortably beaten by Sheppard. Possibly he wasn’t quite right at that point.

He can be quite a frustrating player to own at times (goes whole quarters barely touching it up forward sometimes) but I’m inclined to agree there’s probably not too much downside at his price if you have a rest of season view.
