Kumar Sangakkara actually averaged 66.90 when playing purely as a specialist batsmen , 9434 runs, 32 centuries (if my calculations are correct)

Career Record of 12,400 Runs @ 57.41 with 38 centuries

rarely mentioned when people talk of Tendulkar, Lara, Ponting and Kallis from that era, may in fact have a better record than all of them

He is enormously under-rated. I always think of he and Pollock as amongst the most under-rated players I have seen.

when I was living in Sydney was looking forward to seeing him bat live in the Sydney Test but they (we) broke his thumb in Hobart.
