For me 9/21 scores so far for 569 (I went with 8 DGW players). Keeping that average up, I would get to 1327, or 277 above par.

From the looks of it, I have one of the lowest scores here so far, so I highly doubt a 50 average will be the par score this round.

The fact that most teams will have 9 or 10 DGR players means we are short of having enough information to be close to accurately predicting par.
Having said that, I'm going to try.
I like set par a little high. ie something that will get you into the top 5-7% of scores.

On the info available, I'm going to work on 56/involvement, with 9.5 DGR players.

(8.5 x 2 + 1 x 4 + 1.5) x 56 => 22.5 x 56 = 1,260.

That's around 100 higher than I imagined the Round 1 par might have been, before a ball was bowled.

I cringe every time I put up a stat post...but smile when I see the guru substantiate it by a post such as the one above.

The other thing which brings me comfort is that I'm over half way to reaching the 1,260 figure...What could possibly go wrong from here!

From what I can see, you have 7 x DGR players + 4 x SGR players.
Even if Peirson plays next game, he'd count as a SGR player now.
You are tracking well at 570 / 9 = 63 per score involvement.
You are looking at: 6 x 2 + 1 x 4 + 4 x 1 = 20 score involvements for the Round.
There will be some teams that have 24 score involvements this Round.
It's ok to have less, as long as you compensate by having more later, than the people that have say 23 or 24 now.
The problem as I see it is, your team is more set up with an eye on Round 5, and not so much on Round 3. Those with 23 or 24 involvemnts will probably be able to stay ahead of you on the score involvement count. If you had more Adelaide or Perth players, you could probably peg them back a little.
Having said that, don't fiddle to get them now!

Currently sitting on 756 with 10 DGR players having had a run - although could hardly call that first up effort by Lynn/Banton much of a run . Hoping they draw some inspiration from Philippes’ magnificent effort tonight for their next game!

Im hoping this year average is again around 55, I'm 566/11 to play - I cringe looking at everyone elses - especially 938! well done to you all. Half way through R1, only 59 games to go!

As @Rowsus posted: 7 x DGR + Lynn as "c".
If Peirson plays his score won't count: he's locked in as your bench keeper and you already have a keeper on-field in Inglis.
If Edwards plays his score will only count if Gurney (or whoever) doesn't play.
