Hey Rowsus,

Just wondering if you could help us out
Who should I upgrade? T.Mitchell, Crouch or OMeara this week.
6 trades. Finished on top $60K playing Crawf.
Was gonna downgrade Nicholls to Grundy (Not good losing Kreuzer though)
Then go either Mitchell,Crouch or OMeara to Griffin
Any suggestions? Have cover for Kreuzer via Roughy mpp. Will play Staker or mcCaffer
Then next week I am thinking of upgrading (1 trade) one of the other two left to Watson.
Would leave 3 trades.

B:Godd,Gibbs,Shaw, Ibbo,Hanley, McKenzie (Clisby,Richards)
M:Ablett,Pendles,Swan,JPK,Priddis,Deledio. Omeara (T.MITCHELL, Crouch)
R:Minson,KREUZER (NICHOLLS, McBean)
F:Cox, Bartel, Martin, SJ, Roughy, Rocky (McCaffer, Staker)

I think you have 2 choices.
First, do your NicNat/Mitchell ---> Pavlich/Watson, and hold your last trade for a couple of weeks, as you have very thin Mid cover.
Second, you don't need Nicholls while you have Ryder giving you cover. Nicholls out, McBean up, Cheap donut into the Fwd line.
That gives you $424,600 for upgrades. NicNat to Pav this week, and Arnot to Prem Mid next week.
You don't have your trade for back up anymore, but you should have enough bench coverage to get through the last few games.
I like the 2nd one best.
Good luck :)
Thanks Rowsus,

Next question is which FWD rookie donut should I be looking at.
It would have been nice to be able to do a DEF/FWD link with Staker but both will be located in my FWD line so not a necessity to have a DEF/FWD.

A. Oxley (DEF/FWD), X. Richards (DEF/FWD), T. Klaosen, B. Richmond (DEF/FWD), A. Howson, C. Williams, G. Simon, E. Wallace.

All these guys are $96,200, unfortunately I'll have to have a look at the donut draw latter today when I get a chance.

Cheers Goodie

Hey Rowsus

With Buddy out, I am considering using my last trade on him. Unfortunately I only have $9,500 in the bank

Would you recommend keeping or trading Budster? I have Staker as back up and I think that Buddy may be out for a few weeks.

$600 short of getting Chris Mayne
So would who would you recommend out of the following?

Stokes - Avg 95, Avg 82 Last 5 Rounds
Mumford - Avg 85, Avg 99.4 last 5 Rounds, Avg 118 last 2 (Swinging Roughy Forward and trading buddy in the rucks)
Christensen - Avg 88, Avg 83 Last 5 Rounds
Walters - Avg 85, Avg 84 Last 5 Rounds (EASY draw)

Any other suggestions would be great, thanks mate:)

Hi Rowsus

I finished 4th in my league so I have the double chance.
I have 5 trades and $61k in the kitty..

Where should I make changes?

An idea I had was going Nicholls to Grundy then Mitchell/JPK/Priddis to Griffen/Dangerfield/Beams?
Or should I get rid of Buddy and get Pav in?

Any ideas or suggestions?

Thanks guys and good luck

My team:

Goddard, Gibbs, Heppell, Hartlett, Houli, McKenzie (Clisby, Frost)

Mid
Ablett, Pendlebury, Swan, Jack, JPK, Priddis, Watson, JSelwood (T.Mitchell, K.Martin)

Minson, Cox (Nicholls, Daw)

Fwd

At the risk of making you repeat yourself Rowsus (not much time to sift through) I have a question.

Nic Nat to Bartel or Pav?

And I could throw buddy in there and bring in both. But have sort of been hoping to go Priddis to either Griffen or Watson if I wait til sunday to see how my matchups are going. Would rather do a priddis upgrade next week or week after

3 trades left.

Hey Rowsus. Re the advice you gave me, is there any merit in holding off on the Pav trade and doing Nicholls to Grundy instead? Means I can switch Cox forward for NicNat and make some cash. Means having to play Grundy on field this week but I can then possibly trade Goodes for the likes of Bob Murphy, L Henderson or SD Thompson rather than Dixon.

Gives me $255,600 to play with for my last two trades.

Perhaps too risky?
I think it is too risky. If your opponent has trades left, you could still lose. Either way, you only get to make 3 improvements to your starting 22, but the first option gives you more chance of winning this week. Winning this week gives you the bye next week, which could be invaluable in terms of saving trades with any selection dramas next week.

I say it's never too early to celebrate! Crack a stubby now, and get on it!

...... you may as well celebrate now....... 'cause you may not be able to on Sunday night! ;)

Seriously, Priddis won't play, and if the rumours of one, or both, of Swan and Pendles not playing are true, you are home!

Hey Slammer,
given their draws, and potential use, I'd upgrade Mitchell. When you have to use one of the 3, it is more likely the other 2 will have a "friendly" game. Nicholls to Grundy looks a sensible option.
If you win this week, and you finished top 4 on the ladder, just be careful of trading next week. If it comes down to someone facing a low B/E, then of course do it. Otherwise, hold off for the week, and protect against disaster striking the player you traded in, in a week where you have the "bye".
Good luck :)

I'd roll the dice on Pav. His draw is just too good!

Looking at your situation, I'd only trade Buddy out if you are prepared to back your judgement that he'll miss more games. Otherwise I'd hold him, and more importantly, your last trade, for now.
If you are going to back your judgement, I think I'd go Walters, given Freo's draw. Though Essendon players are poison at the moment, if you think Nicholls will continue to miss, I'd also contemplate Ryder (or even Hale!)
Good luck :)

I like the option of Nicholls to Grundy to raise some cash.
I think Priddis will be a late withdrawal, and his output is not much above Mitchell's anyway. I think I'd go Priddis to Dangerfield. Having said that, the other 2 should serve you well, too.
Good luck :)

Nice stuff..
I would assign -5 points for the first game of the round and 0 for the second game though as it closes the possibility of the floating doughnut completely..
