Will be the main reason why i'll be staying away from Oliver and looking to bring him in as my 1st mid upgrade. WCE away rd 1 and then the De Boer tag where he managed to get 55 odd last year. At 593k he's undervalued from a season long perspective, in terms of early on in the year he isn't. Wouldn't be surprised if he reaches 540k as early as rd 4.

How good do people think Tim Kelly will be this year?

In the past I have had a lot of success picking elite midfielders that have moved clubs. Tom Mitchell in 2017 (15 Point Increase) and Neale in 2019 (10 Point Increase).

Do we think TK can achieve something similar??

What would his price be around Round 6-8 then ?

Still might be hard to get with the traditional one down , one up

You can look at it another way. Oliver only faces De Boer once and his round 2 De Boer affected game will only affect two price changes, where as most of your other premo options will face three price changes off the back of their De Boer affected games.

There's not many premium options that are going to be effected by de boer early by the looks of it Oliver and Bont seem the biggest chances of becoming affordable but even that might be too early for an upgrade guess it's whether you want to cop an early 50-70 at the sacrifice of a Fyfe Neale or Cripps who avoid him in the early stages

Possibly. Although Mitchell and Neale went from clearly not the best mid in their old team to clearly the best mid in their new team. Kelly has already had plenty of opportunities at Geelong and the picture at West Coast is not so clear.
He was awesome in that preliminary final loss and has the talent to average 110+ but it's a bit speculative.

Facing him rd 2 makes a significant difference than facing him after rd 10+ imo. By rd 10 most teams will have only 1 or 2 spots in the mids to upgrade so more coaches are going to be affected by the De Boer tag as the likelihood he tags a player they own rises. Oliver as an early season pod will hurt more if he cops the tag and subsequently a poor score. @Herbie66 I dont see him fluctuating much for the next few rounds, has Steele rd 4 who he traditionally doesnt cope well with. After that he plays GC, would be good to get in for that game but probably 1 rd too early for an upgrade

Its sad that Miles is the most likely to cop the tag at Gold Coast...
Understand the logic of how Oliver's price could fall as per the scenario you describe but if is a target rd 4 or 5 what is your strategy to bring him in? Would you keep a shed load of cash or park some 500k mid you think won't go down for the first few rds then use him to trade to Oliver. Cannot see a trade up via a rookie. Just curious.

It would be too early to upgrade a mid rookie in rd 4. I'd look to do it rds 6-7. He has Steele rd 4 who generally watches him closely so i'd expect his price wouldn't soar too much above 550k in the early rounds. I'd honestly just treat him as a typical upgrade, wouldn't compromise alot to get him in. In saying that, generally my first upgrade, as with most coaches, involves chopping a rookie 50k or so earlier than usual to get those early points on the board so i can see him being that early trade in guy this year.

Interesting that in over 1/4 of his games he is sub-100. Strikes me as the perfect upgrade target.
