Punter is usually very good with his team of the year but I reckon he’s got the balance of that side wrong. Wells 6, Carey 7, Curran 8 seems to low across the board. Only 4 proper bowlers with Maxy and Stoin, with the latter having barely bowled.

I probably would have left Wade out myself.

I stopped reading when I saw Hales at 3 , please pick a side according to where they actually bat.

Every side in the comp has played 6 & 5 apart from the Heat , so yes he should have 5 specialist Bowlers to start regardless of their batting prowess.

Just reflecting on the changes for this year .... didn't the players want a more condensed season with less "off" days etc ....

- That we got to some degree until the last two games ...

- CA then got creative and made a final 5 series when 4 IMO would have been suffice to give both top teams the double chance ...

- That in itself extended the season beyond what it could have been ....

- Both the AFL and NRL have set GF venues no matter the participants ... Marvel would have been the obvious choice ...

Oh well ... a disastrous end to the season on the world stage ...

Not sure that’s a great call unless he expects Maxy to be promoted (which seemingly hasn’t happened yet?)?

Had Maxwell C but reverted back to Stoinis. Figured if it's a 5 over game Stoinis obviously will be best chance to make runs (although Maxwell should be first drop). And Maxwell probably won't bowl.

Anyway Stoinis could easily hole out, Abbott won't be easy to get away. Definitely good pod choice to try get the prize ! Let's just hope we get some fkn cricket.

Permanent final at Marvel from next year if there's not a willingness to move based on weather. The annoying thing is these forecasts have been around for what a week? What a waste of everyone's time.

so the 1st , 2nd , 3rd , 4th final should all be moved to Marvel as well just in case those games could be/might be affected by weather.....far out

cricket is affected by the weather , yes it is unfortunate but that is what happens.

even with a reserve day , no guarantee of a full game

Nah the radar for the inner Sydney area is now looking pretty good for the next couple of hours - almost like Moses parting the Red Sea but kinda upside down...

When theres a stadium with a roof it begs to be used. Earlier final washouts to favour the higher ranked side which still engineers a 1v2. This is an entertainment competition so Sixers losing the home ground advantage should just have to deal with it. Just as Scorchers travelled halfway around the globe in a week

Incidentally if you were ranked third, would you be hoping for a washout to consolidate your position or still hoping for some gametime to risk it for 2nd or 1st? He’s only 20 and 50 points behind respectively. But 110 points in front of 4th. You would have to be hoping for play surely?

Definitely not ... think you've missed my point ... was only talking about the GF ...

Both top teams still get the double chance as it should be ... weather affected or not ...
