I reckon you could probably do a lot worse than Witts (I used him as a what you see is what you get injury replacement last year), but worth flagging that the Suns seem to have got Zac Smith back in. Presumably Witts is clear number 1, but I generally like that type of pick to be locked down as sole ruck.
thanks, injury and competition for the captain, need to review now.

Is Gawn a must have with his knee issues? If he plays 80% ruck 20% forward or on bench. The below tweet has got me thinking about how overpriced Grundy and Gawn are. They'll definitely drop in price, lets say $80k. I'm willing to hold Grundy, maybe not both and pick up after their bye.

RE: ......If Andrew Phillips scored 100s every week from round1, he’d rise in price to around $500k by R10...…...

The problem with that theory is that Bellchambers is likely to play early in the season.

…….the Bombers are hopeful the setback won't cause too much disruption to his (Bellchambers) preparations for 2020.........
And the fact that Phillips has scored 2 hundreds over an 8 year career
I was looking at Gawn's price dropping by $160k if he has a couple of substandard scores. In any case I've replaced Gawn with Witts atm. Happy to use 2 trades to upgrade later if required. ?
If Gawn plays the first 10 rounds, there is no way IMO he is going to just score flat 100's every week; even on one leg he is bound to get one or two 150 odd scores, making any price reduction marginal.

He's out of my side atm, gone with Goldy now. Will just have to see if he gets a game or 2 in the Marsh series. Agree he's a beast, but if he's not quite right and playing he could drop 60k or so.

Where did he say this? Do you have a link? Most things I’ve read is that Lycett will be sole ruck this year (with chop outs as required)
The off-season provided Ladhams with another taste of how quickly an AFL career could end. He was in a Cancun, Mexico hotel with Aidyn Johnson when coach Ken Hinkley rang to tell Johnson he would be delisted.

With Ryder departing, Hinkley saying he is open to playing two ruckmen if they are in form and also showing he is willing to drop Lycett, Ladhams knows he has another opportunity to prove himself

I only played one game with Scott and I think we can both play in the same team,” Ladhams says.

“Everyone wants to play round one and if I look back on last year, I’d never have dreamt of doing that but I’m in a good place now to put my hand up.”

whats your view on English? is pretty much the same as Grundy and has a very good midfield to tap it to
Grundy had 5 years or so before hitting top numbers worth holding in SC. English I've no doubt will improve but you're looking for the top 2 ruckman at the end of the season and not improvement in this game. At $450k it's an akward price and a risk. Things change however if one or both of Grundy or Gawn are not fully fit or available round 1. That's when I'll look at an English, ROB, NN, Goldy or whoever.....at this stage I'm still locking G&G for my intitial budgeting.

This is a point easily forgotten. A decent price drop requires either an early game injury or at least two lower scores in a row. You’ve got to bank on that 2-3 week lull because as you say a sudden monster score and his BE becomes low all over again.

I know some last year tried waiting out a Gawndy price drop and it never really happened even after their low scores in R1.
