Don't get me wrong Herbie66, I think your nicknames are clever and I really like them. I'm just suggesting you put in brackets, after the nickname, who you are talking about.
I really don't want you to stop being creative, it's just sometimes I don't understand the message if I don't know who you are talking about.
I hope you never listened to Rex on the radio commentating a game then as you (and everyone else) would not have a clue who the players were ?

I can't see much point in using nicknames and then the person's name as well , but just for you I have made up a team

Seagull , Apple , Apricot , Heater , ?

= Lloyd , Crisp , Maynard , Shaw , Hartlett

Jelly , Titch , Bont , Pendles , Telly , Danger , Scottish Suitcase , Don't Pay

= J Kelly , Mitchell , Bontempelli , Pendlebury , T Kelly , Dangerfield , McCluggage , Perryman

Nic Nat , Sauce

= Naitanui , Jacobs

Buddy , Dusty , Poster Boy , TJL , Tex , JDG

= Buddy , D Martin , Heeney , Tom Lynch (Richmond) , Walker , de Goey

In all seriousness though , good to read that life is on the improve for you , looked scary enough on TV , real life I would imagine would be 1000 times worse

Good luck

Gee there's a tough choice between Laird, Sicily and Houston now in terms of selecting premo defenders with upside.

Tried a few different combos and it looks like it will hinge a bit on what happens with Gawn strangely enough.
I agree. Along with Doc they’re the three I’m weighing up (and I think Doc is locked).

I’ve recently taken out Laird given Houston’s mid role seems to be firming up, although I’m not sure what the “Smith in the midfield” plan means for Laird’s scoring at this stage.

Should be good for Smith's scoring;)

Listening to the radio on my way home from work and Rowey and Bicks had Dougal Howard on. I'd forgot about him. Really liked him as a player at Port, not sure why they traded him or the reasoning behind it. Sainters will have a different looking side, so not sure where he fits in, I think he said he prefers playing in defence, and that's where I think he plays his best footy. Could be SC relevant with right role imo. Awkward price in the 300K zone, but has D/F eligibility. Pre season games may give us a better idea. Would be a massive POD i'd imagine.

Still needs to average above 70ish to be considered, might be relevant next year imo. If he can improve his average this year to 80, then I would consider.

From Houston's presser. I must admit, it continues to sound very positive!

Having trouble trying to squeeze Houston in due to Sicily, Ryan and Daniel all being very enticing around a similar price range. Usually avoid starting Power “premiums”, so it will be very interesting to see if Houston makes it into my starting side.

One of those interesting stats that catches your eye. However in 2017 his non Marvel ave was 12 pts higher that at Marvel. In 2018 his Marvel ave was only 1 pt better than away. And last year in his spike year his Marvel record was 7pts better than non Marvel.

Or perhaps look at it this way. In 2018 he played 2 games at the MCG and 2 at Optus both larger grounds. His ave for these venues was 94 or 14 pts higher than at Marvel. In 2019 he again played 4 games between those venues and his ave was 109 or 7 pts higher than at Marvel.

So dem dare stats, they tell a twisted tale depending on how you look at them.
