None of my midfield bench rookies are going to play round 1 marsh pre season thingy. Pick anyone who is named!
I wouldn't worry too much about the round 1 marsh games, as I suspect the Coaches are experimenting with players and positions. But, in the round 2 marsh games, is the team that would be closer to starting the 1st AFL round, so keep an eye out for the players then.

I'm not hugely worried but my bench is Robertson, Maginess and McHenry. None of them are going to play. The only other two I have had are mead and bytel. Mead didn't play last week with a hammy (awareness) and bytel not named.
72 mids under $ 140 k (including Bennell & Pickett) so hopefully 3 will get picked , 28 days to go

hard to see Robertson breaking into the Lions 22 in any case given they have Ah Chee , Birchall & Ellis-Yolman

time will tell

Some other cheap mid rookies who are a chance for round 1 are Sharp, Mahony, Cahill, Williams, Close and Budarick. There’s probably others.

Isn't there some Carlton rookie called Honey that is quickly coming into Brownlow contention from what I read on Carltons BF board! ?
Someone there was certain he played like a young Ablett. Or was it Dangerfield? Either way, watching Sam 'FHOF' Walsh last year has gone to their heads.

The Richmond midfielder who could be a “big, big mover” this year
By Andrew Slevison

Richmond’s midfield could bat even deeper in 2020 with the presence of talented youngster Riley Collier-Dawkins.
Tigers coach Damien Hardwick told AFL.com.au this week that the 20-year-old had put on around 7kgs as he eyes a spot in the midfield of the reigning premiers.

Collier-Dawkins has bulked up after his debut season with the club, which saw him impress at VFL level in a premiership year, and his off-season work is creating plenty of excitement.
Melbourne great Garry Lyon expects the no.20 draft pick to slot straight into a prominent midfield position where he could replace departed two-time flag winner Brandon Ellis on a wing.

“Mark my words,” Lyon said on SEN Breakfast.
“You talk about Ellis leaving, this bloke steps in. This kid in the (VFL) finals was just so exciting.
“I don’t know this to be true but if he has grown and he’s 191 (cm) and he’s put 7 kegs (kilos) onto his frame, put Riley Collier-Dawkins down as one of the big, big movers.”

Additionally, Fox Footy’s Tom Morris reported from Richmond’s intra-club scratch match at Punt Road that Collier-Dawkins “looks seriously good”.

AFL Media's Mitch Cleary was also on hand to see the Tigers play and described the Waverley Blues and Oakleigh Chargers product as “prolific in midfield” alongside fellow promising youngster Jack Ross.

Collier-Dawkins will be in action for the Tigers in their Marsh Community Series opener against Collingwood in Wangaratta on Sunday, March 1.
