As a Collingwood supporter I'd be shocked if Cox wasn't named round 1, unless it's deemed that he isn't good to go fitness-wise.

Even in that situation Cameron's job security would be low because Cox is still best 22 for us at the moment.

The one thing in Cameron's favour is Reid getting another lowwr-leg niggle, which removes one obstacle from his path to an AFL debut in the black and white.
Reid will be lucky to get 6-8 game out of him this year. He is Cooked. Hope the Pies Give Cameron a good shout at establishing himself in the FWD Line. I am excited about his all round game, proven performer in the lower grade. I believe there is room for Both.

Collingwood just played Mihocek and Cox last year. Is there any reason that would change this year?
Yes, Cox would seem to be pretty ineffective as far as a marking target and goalkicker went (effective perhaps from a perspective of getting the ball to ground though I'm not sure). Cameron can play forward but can also provide Grundy a very capable chopout in the ruck. it probably comes down to what the club is rating his performances on versus the things we focus on.

Good point. Also, history says GWS will bomb this year due ti being smashed in GF, Adelaide the last to follow this trend. Only way to beat this is introduce players that were not in the GF, rookies and those who were injured. Think GWS bucks this trend.
i think some1 like shaw may play 16 games and 6 of those will go to cumming/ash and whether williams stays on the field could b another 6 games between the 2

Cox well he should be worried. Maybe it motivates cox to better performance.
Is it possible that Cox had it put in his contract that provided he is fit, he has to play a minimum number of games, regardless of anything else?

Really hoping for this and that Grundy's scoring drops significantly as a result...no point grinding Grundy unnecessarily.

im starting 2 worry if grundy gets 20-30 pts less coz cameron can stay upfield longer than Cox

So that does mean it’s either Cox OR Cameron? Mihocek, Elliott, Hoski, Stephenson C Brown and Thomas was an effective combo last year, which is already 6 forwards.

Zerk-Thatcher looks to have good JS Essendon supporters, he was blooded last week through a baptism of fire with little help, interesting to see him again this week.
no room if hooker comes back early tho with francis, hurley, hooker cant see him in

This year I'm approaching rookies the same way I approach coronavirus

i.e. "she'll be right mate" denial until a donut appears on my doorstep and I panic-buy Changkuoth Jiath and Tyson Stengle at exorbitant prices
what's wrong with CJ ? currently my D5 ?

mind you I did have Can Rayner at F4 one stage today as well

I'm not saying its Cox or Cameron but I am saying that Cameron can offer more in the ruck... which is why people are thinking maybe Cox should make way....

Geez I must have missed Cameron becoming an able ruckman. Couldn’t get a game in a swans side that didn’t even have an actual ruckman or a key forward last I remember. Might need to temper our expectations a little bit I think.
1 game in 3 years at the Swans , and they played Allir and McLean ahead of him yet now he is ahead of the American Pie

seriously , what is in the water some people drink

Oh that's who I forgot! I knew there was someone else!! So he'd probably be in instead of C Brown.
Probably will keep 2 + 4 going , not sure 3 of Cameron , Cox , Mihocek & Reid would work.

Brown/Thomas , Elliott , JDG , Stephenson

think WHE will be part of the W rotation with Mayne , Phillips & Sidey

Treloar , Pendles & Tay Tay in the square
