Definetely havn't seen a year like this before.
I think we'll be forced to do this, and pay up everywhere else
D7/8 - Brander/Watson
M6-11 - Rowell, Pickett, Green, McInerny, Sharp, Robertson
F6-8 - Crocker, King, Rankine
Mid Bench is being optomistic, still hope for Starcevich, Gould and Budarick. Sturt and Davis dont have scoring power.
Then we have expensive options with reasonable JS - Noble. BZT, Hill, Ash. I think we start as many of these as it suits depending on structure.
So just working around that, its a matter of nailing the value picks and then and figuring out who to cut out of M1-M5, Gawn, and Whitfield/Dusty. I think well need to cut 2 at least.
Dusty doesnt seemt to hold much value in terms of scoring. Hasnt scored 140 in about 40 games, doesnt tackle and more fwd time. He's the most expendable for me.
I think we saw enough to suggest Gawn will be fine, so dont really want to cut him unless you feel real good about English/Naismith. Set Gawn.
Then theres Whit who we can group with the Mids. We saw his ceiling fully fit, see how his ankle goes next game. I dont think I'm willing to part with Jelly or Neale, and the Dogs play first 6/8 at Marvel/Ballarat. Then there is Cripps who starts hot every year. Now to cut two of Whit, Dunkley, Bont, Macrae and Cripps. Wouldnt mind some help here.
Value Picks I like under 480k - Dawson, Parish, Tracc, Ceglar, Doch, Devon. so will probably pick 4 of these guys. Am open to others but narrowed it down to these.
