Has anyone got HOTA stats Gawn v Marshall from 2019.
Thanks.
Gee this thread blew up today but Naismith still only has a 2.1% ownership so it's still a huge POD play.

I received my copy of the Prospectus today and found some interesting ruck stats.

In 2019, Sinclair had a Hit Out Win (HOW) % of only 37% (AFL ruck average is 44.8%) and a Hit Out to Advantage (HOTA) % of only 7.5 (AFL ruck average is 12.9%). Naismiths' career averages are 44.6% HOW% and 13.5% HOTA% (average rating for both).

For some comparison points in 2019:
Goldstein went 47.4% HOW% and 16.2% HOTA%
Bellchambers went 42.1% HOW% and 15.5% HOTA%
Nankervis went 43.9% HOW% and 11.3% HOTA%
Reily O'Brien went 43.5% HOW% and 11.2% HOTA%
Stef Martin went 43.2% HOW% and 12.4% HOTA%
Grundy went 53.9% HOW% and 15.5% HOTA%
Gawn went 57.9% HOW% and 20% HOTA%

Basically, Naismith's most important metrics as a ruck are "average" but still better than guys like ROB, Martin and Nankervis. Better HOW% than TBC but worse HOTA%. Most importantly, Naismith's HOW% and HOTA% are far better than Sinclair's!
I posted the above earlier but see I missed Marshall.

Marshall went 41.5% HOW% and 10.9% HOTA%

Gawn went 57.9% HOW% and 20% HOTA%

AFL ruck average is 44.8% HOW% and 12.9% HOTA%

Has crossed my mind but Grundy will come out this arvo and kill it then it'll be back to normal
What will be the point difference when you say compare
Jacobs and Martin
Vs
Grundy and Bonar type?

Jacobs 80-90 sole ruck, martin 100
Grundy 130, Bonar 0 (injury prone, won't stay on the field lol)

Just an observation that Jacobs currently has 8 marks, not bad for a aging big man, would suggest he is in good shape hmmmm

@THCLT

Do you happen to keep VFL stats on players ? (mainly on games played per season)

My google search didn't uncover much apart from Ceglar playing 31 games with the Collingwood VFL side in 2011-2012.

5 VFL games in 2015 & 3 VFL games in 2019

Cheers
Out of all the second tier competions the VFL site has to be the worst

Has anyone done a pre-bye, post-bye ruck analysis?
I'm interested in an X to Marshall post round 11 bye R2 option.
Thanks CC

Not sure how long Smith lasts, once Witts is back.
Witts should be back round 1 so maybe watch if ZSmith is also selected, if so, tick. If Witts doesn't play Round 1 and Smith plays, then having him as an R3 he could, if necessary, be subsequently traded down to the best ruck bubble boy R3 after having a look at them all.
If ZSmith plays round 1 then he will most probably start as R3 for me to compliment my Jacobs and Naismith ruck combo unless I desperately need his cash elsewhere.

So Smith is 254k and second ruck. Naismith is 251k and to me, still their second ruck. I like Jacobs (Mumford is just backup for them) and Ceglar as F4 who will he number 1 ruck with McEvoy playing back. And of course Grundy is a lock.

Will you play ceglar up front for cover.?
at this stage I'd consider Ceglar even if he was forward only.
there's plenty of scoring opportunities for ruckmen and Cegs had a good finish to last season as #1 plus solid pre-season games.

gotta find value somewhere if this rookie crisis holds.
