Finally

Pickett on the bench ✓

Walsh & Hately are both different.

Not interested in Steven or TJL ?

assuming McPherson is actually Macpherson (GCS)

no Rankine
Pickett (DE) is horrendous that's why he starts on the bench. Hoping more game time improves DE. I expect Green will be dropped and some point early in the season for Ward, then pickett moves onto the field until the byes. Should be reel FAT by round 13.

Walsh is the endurance beast on the outside Hately pure inside. One likes to receive the other likes to get. Yes different, but both Guns. Both had good numbers across the board during preseason. Risky, but what the Heck........

I assume Hately will take Taranto role and Green will play until Ward is ready to go. ACL at 30, they wont rush him back. (fingers crossed)

Steven not for me already talk of minor calf strain. Mengola was looking at the grass Marsh (2) Duncan and Selwood to Return plus a number of the Youngsters looking for Mid time. Narkle looks better again this year.

Tom Lynch not for me Yet, maybe after the byes if the price is right. But i have Smith penciled in at F6 for the run home.

Macpherson from the Suns. Correct.

Nice summary , not sure Hately is a gun after 7 games but each to their own , mind you the media love labelling these kids superstars before they even debut.

I guess they are both stepping stones at the moment , although Walsh could get close to that 105 average mark , kid is certainly a running machine.

I have spoken enough about the GWS players vying for spots.

Tread with caution re all their kids.

Very valid points about Geelong , Sparkle was my "mystery" midfielder that averaged 100+ last season that the majority here couldn't name.

I am happy to start Lynch , Smith & Steven.

McCluggage & Macpherson are the 2 I am watching with big interest this year , and for some reason Lukosious.

Let's put Narkle into context, he had two big ton ups against Carlton and North (credit where it's due) and then in his four other games against strong teams he averaged a bit under 56. In addition he's around 400k. I wouldn't touch him with a bargepole. I'm with you on McCluggage and Darcy Mac though.

Fair point re Sparkle

Probably the same reason that no one is looking at the defender who averaged 110 last season and is less than $ 300k.

Judging by the rookies , I have a spare $ 300 k in my team so may just yet take a punt on Darcy Mac , I need at least one speculative player each season to make it interesting

Are you referring to Trent McKenzie who only played the one game last year in the final round dead rubber against Port?

Priced at $298,900 with the below record. Fairly obvious why no one is looking at him.

That's him

but he actually played for Port

not much more expensive than Roberton who seems popular

Tredders said on the radio he thinks McKenzie will line up round 1 and be their 3rd tall in defence.
