Tredders said on the radio he thinks McKenzie will line up round 1 and be their 3rd tall in defence.
Been a bit of talk about him over the pre-season.

Tredders knows what is going on.

Don't understand how Roberton is considered a massive lock , yet others around the same price are just dismissed.

Phillips in the ruck is certainly a interesting choice.

Rivers , Gould , Robertson , Cameron & Budarick will cause problems if they are not selected but everything else looks fairly similar to most.
I agree, Phillips is a big roll of the dice. There is a lot of hope in that pick. He might not make the final team.

Tonight I have watched the crowdless cricket and fiddled with my SC team.

I am feeling more comfortable with the team, but rookies will dictate more changes. It feels a little the same but a little bit different to other teams I’ve seen on here. The forward rookies just don’t feel right to put on field for me at the moment and jury still out on Roberton and Ash. I like McCluggage at M5 but haven’t ruled out the likes Bont or Fyfe yet if I can make it work.

Any feedback appreciated ...

Nice looking side. I’m not sure McLuggage will be a top 10 mid but he has plenty of upside.

Your mid bench is concerning with all 3 unlikely to line up Rd 1

Thanks. Yes, the unknown rookie situation could change things quite significantly yet as I will want my bench playing.

How much cash left ?

pretty much locked in your 6 forwards from the start

one option could be Robertson - > Davis , King , Sturt maybes via DPP

Are you keen on Noble at all? By putting him in I've gotten Brander on field forward at the expense of a mid-pricer and turned M5 into a super premo with the change.

None! But I’m entertaining one of the Bulldog mids to Coniglio to free up $.
I don’t like King, I don’t like any forward rookies really as I’m scared of low scores, but I could entertain swinging Brander forward.
Ideally I would like to slingshot my forwards that don’t look like getting to 95 at the bye - it seems there are a lot of mid price options capable of achieving this so I am comfortable not getting them all right!

My last count was 28 mid pricers in the forward line a few days ago , haven't updated as yet.

I have no idea whatsover any of the forward rookies might score but thinking of having at least 3 just in case some of them do come off

given it might take 1.5 downgrades (will we even have downgrade options) for each upgrade , I guess that leaves you enough slingshot trades if you need them

I’m a stubborn Essendon man who has had Parish since SC opened! Ceglar is my insurance for Naismith. Starcevich to mids, or Ash if he gets named, or both is definitely an option.
Don't quite get the insurance cover thinking for Naismith , you either trust him or not , especially if you don't trust your forward rookies as they will be actually covering him.

Personally think Jacobs is a far better option than Naismith.

I haven’t ruled out Noble. I actually want McCluggage as a POD. I feel most (or a lot) are going 5x600k+ mids which seems overkill to me.

I'm running Naismith too which is quite a risk. I feel that by running him then I'll need minimise risk with my other choices. My initial feel from your team is that there's a bit too much risk with McLuggage, Parish, Brayshaw, Ceglar and Roberton. I understand why some of them are in the team but the combination of all of them could lead to serious complications later.
Sure, take a risk on a few, but I think there's room for 1 or 2 rookies on field in your forwards and maybe a stronger D3

Insurance is just that. It doesn’t mean you use it. I’m seeing teams with Taylor on field. I’m happy to have him on the bench as back up. If someone like Cameron got named round one, I would rethink Ceglar,

good point

maybe Jackson is viable R3

might be all wasting our time , the way things are changing seemingly by the hour each day
