I'm running Naismith too which is quite a risk. I feel that by running him then I'll need minimise risk with my other choices. My initial feel from your team is that there's a bit too much risk with McLuggage, Parish, Brayshaw, Ceglar and Roberton. I understand why some of them are in the team but the combination of all of them could lead to serious complications later.
Sure, take a risk on a few, but I think there's room for 1 or 2 rookies on field in your forwards and maybe a stronger D3
Yes I agree and if I could, I would pick the mid pricers off in the reverse order you have listed them. It is the absence of confidence in rookies that is forcing my mid price hand, but team announcements may help.

Team number 90000... thoughts? I am in YOLO mode at the moment, took out Gawn and added a 6 premium mid by adding Kelly. View attachment 16390
I'll give some feedback.

I think there must be someone better than King on field in Fwd, right? I guess time will tell once teams drop. THink you'll find that most people will be doing a combination of that forward line.

Mids: Could be genius? But I am going to fly with the masses and use three rooks. I am going to rely on Pickett to score.

I love T.Mitchell and have had him in my team every year since available. He is the SC BEAST! but... I will wait on him.

D: I think your defence looks a man short if you are going to fly with Naisinger Air

I dunno
But maybe combine Parish and Roberton which would give you a choice of any of the top scoring defenders (or any 600k premo). Field one of Rankine or Taylor and have a slow burn cash maker like King on the bench?

Thanks for that..

Yeah with King he is just a place setter until teams come out, man the rookies are hard to crack this year!

Mids: still not sure about the Kelly pick along with Mitchell with the other risks as well, thinking of changing to danger

Onfield looks fine , rookies not named on the bench makes you very vulnerable , Robertson/Sharp - > Starcevich could be a possibility.

Otherwise may need to lose one of Laird/Sicily.

Interesting no Doc or Roberton

Looks strong enough but who knows how long it is before the season is cancelled/postponed/suspended.

So what happens with supercoach if they play officially one AFL game. Then cancel the competition is the leader after round 1 deemed the winner

Insurance is just that. It doesn’t mean you use it. I’m seeing teams with Taylor on field. I’m happy to have him on the bench as back up. If someone like Cameron got named round one, I would rethink Ceglar,
Don't be surprised if Ceglar holds his own this year and becomes a keeper in the forward line.
I have a Jacob in the ruck AND Ceglar in the forward line.

This is what I've come up with after the marsh games. By far the most midpricers I've ever had so very different waters for me. $11,700 in the bank.

Laird had been Houston all preseason until they changed the Port/StK bye. Picking him in the back of Smith moving to to a Mid/Fwd role, I also believe he took a few more kick ins than usual, even with Brown still in the team, will this be the norm under Nicks? or was it just coincidence and I'm looking into it far too much?

Sicily is one of my favourites, been locked since it opened. Hawks trade ins this year makes him an even greater prospect.

Docherty easy pick. Don't expect him to be near his pre knee output, but interested to see if how much he benefits from the kick in rules, he was able to ave 110+ without dinky free points.

Roberton looks like a very handy stepping stone, with a very small chance of becoming a premo. Is another one who hasn't played since the kick ins started counting towards stats. Value him over Houston, and couldn't have 2 of my defs missing round 11 in a best 22 round.

Macrae is the best. Built for SC and plays in a team who's midfield racks up points for fun.

Neale is a very last minute addition, hadn't considered him as a starter at all, always an upgrade target, but then I had a closer look at his draw. Specifically rounds 9-11, Richmond, Port and GC right before his bye, I don't think he'll be attainable in the bye rounds, happy to just pay for him now.

Not 100% on Cripps, but everyone else seems to be. I don't want to bet against him, especially when he has a tendency to punch out large scores early. I also don't rate the Blues at all and expect the man to be still be doing all the heavy lifting.

Dangerfield is my #1 lock. Brownlow year for Mr Me Time.

Dev Smith at M5 just don't have a heap of faith in the mid rookies. Happier to take a punt on Brander and Curtis on field atm.

Grundy and Gawn are too good not to pick.
Too many large scores, and it's super easy to pick when they are going to post massive scores.
Seeing people not pick Gawn is madness to me, I actually prefer him to Grundy, expecting him to be #1 scorer this year.

Dusty is just a very safe and boring pick, 100ppg for 20+ games as a fwd is an easy lock. Would prefer Whitfield but can't afford him.

Loved Greenwood's role in the Marsh games. Could hardly buy a touch in the second game and kicked at 20 something %, still managed a 75. Reckon he can go 90+ with ease, and a 90+ average in the fwds this year will be top 10.

I do not rate Ceglar as a footballer. I think he is terrible. But ever since the ruck scoring changes rucks have been gold and whenever you can pick them in a line that isn't the rucks you should do so. DPP is a very valuable bonus. I carried Westhoff majority of last year and still went alright.

I crossed Steven off my list as soon as I heard he had calf complaints, but the lack of rookies has forced my hand. Just have to pray now.

Great side. Have you considered J Kelly over P Cripps?
