More than the error, I’m concerned with how definite they are being telling people ‘he’s a huge lock.’
What’s the follow up message? ‘Put him in your team ....head!’
Actually it might prove to help my traditional hasty mid year trades if they offer more direct advice before I click the trade button ‘Are you ....ing crazy?’ might make me stop and think twice!

It's worth reading through all the player comments just to see how many they say to lock in / are great choices etc. I'd estimate at least enough for 2-3 full teams are locks.

I got sucked in by Jordan Ridley last year, does BZT smell similar? Or am i barking up the wrong tree?
Uncontested players like Ridley do well in preseason games and contested players do poorly because the games are more open. Ridley did well again this preseason. Even if BZT doesn't have a good game he will be putting himself into a contested position so he might have a poor average but should get a spike game or two. Will he be Doedee or Collins? Given the lack of rookies he seems to be one of the better choices.

Yeah I got sucked in with Ridley as well.

With BZT though, I can't see any alternatives so I think you just have to pick and hope he gets a spike score. The Marsh 2 game was very promising though, before that it looked dubious whether that spike score would ever come but at least in Marsh 2 he showed that he has it in him!

Further to this I would be wary of contested possessions during preseason.
Contested Possession: A possession which has been won when the ball is in dispute. Includes looseball-gets, hardball-gets, contested marks, gathers from a hitout and frees for.
I still think a change in role or opportunity is the best indicator of improvement. Although not a defender and not the right thread I can't see how Darcy McPherson gets to 95-100.

Agree with you here. DMac did not line up in the midfield or wing positions. He just pushed up from a HFF and sometimes was deep fwd as well. Seems like a classic trap to me but let's see how it plays out (if it plays out...).

Crisp is a lock for me, all players have clangers, might have to check with 'sirswampthing', lol. Remember he had hip surgery end of 2018, so he'd have a great preseason this year. One reason for higher clanger count, could be his positioning in the backline, probably under pressure all the time or helping a teammate out. I'm not too concerned, he'll score >10 tons with some 120+ scores.

It's pretty annoying when one of your players scores a 140 DT and then the SC scores come through and his score is a 90 odd. Crisp seems to cop this treatment a lot.

He is under pressure a lot, although he's still prone to a direct turnover delivering out of the D50 on the run, saw it again last week and immediately thought, yep, here we go again.

I think the issue is the HHF and wingers like Stephenson and WHE were more mobile and in better form in 2018 hitting the ball up with that kick out of HB, now it seems to just be Mihocek. I think the pies are really reliant on WHE and Stephenson finding form, they were luck that Mayne turned his career around.

This question might have already been asked but what are the chances Lachlan Ash plays consistently? Especially with ZWilliams coming back into the side. Who has the better JS out of Ash or Cumming?
I don't trust Leon Cameron at all to be honest...lol

I think it’s too hard to tell at the moment.

Williams is actually a decent chance of playing round 1 so fingers crossed he plays with one of Ash/Cumming so we can find out which has the better JS.

Williams is a chance to play rd1 so if 1 of them is named alongside him in def, I think will remain in the side and 1 of Hately,Green go out if Ward comes back
