Rightly or wrongly, I'm currently in the opposite camp, even before last night's game. I feel that players like Daniel, Crisp,
Laird, etc. will actually lose out to the more intercepting types.
I've said before that the higher ratio guys will be the main beneficiaries of these shortened games. These quality players with high ratios are going to get the lion share of any scaling points, they always do. I agree with
@Bomber18 assertion that intercept defenders has a decided edge over say a high possession type defenders, couple this with someone who's an elite ball user and generally kicks long (ala Docherty) and that's a perfect combination.
Either way, I'll be watching tonight's game (and SC scores) with a keen interest.
