Really warming to Ceglar at 417k over Brayshaw and others.

No.1 ruck role at Hawks without McEvoy.

When Ceglar played the no.1 ruck last 2 seasons he has scored the following:

94
83
110
87
79
102
63
78
100
for 88.44 average.

Patton the only other guy that may pinch hit too so should have free reign.

Why wouldn't McEvoy pinch hit?

Been on Cegs for a while. Probably waited his entire career for the number 1 ruck. Passed the eye test for me, new rules help his TOG% and durability.

This has prolly be answered but isn't Darcy Fort being the No.1 ruck worth it? Similar to Naismith but in the forward line which is easier to rotate with bench players

Think Naismith is well and truly locked in as #1 ruck for Sydney, whereas it's a revolving door at Geelong.

With the extra trades we have though, could be a risk worth taking.

Some info on DFort from Prospectus 2019, which says he was:
  • the best ball winning ruckman in the 2018 SANFL, ranking No.1 for disposals, contested possessions and clearances.
  • still adequate with his tap-work, ranking third in the league for HOs and fourth for HOTAs.
  • a force up forward kicking multiple goals in four of his 13 games
  • averaged 101 DT and 123 SC in the 2018 SANFL.
Obviously played out of position as a pure KPF last season. Shades of Marshall!
