The more "intercept defenders" killing it again tonight.

Howe 110 DT / 156 SC
Crozier 79 DT / 115 SC
Maynard 76 DT / 104 SC
Caleb Daniel 63 DT / 92 SC
Keath 71 DT / 79 SC
B.Williams 67 / 77 SC
Nobel 67 DT / 74 SC
Z.Cordy 33 DT / 68 SC

Not all defenders though but I'd argue these guys played a bit more "lockdown" or were not really intercepting as much

E.Wood 47 DT / 60 SC
Moore 44 / 55 SC
Crisp 59 DT / 62 SC
Madgen 23 DT / 22 SC
Roughhead 23 / 37 SC
Gardner 49 DT / 44 SC
Another structure merry-go-round cmon Beveridge you should know better by now. Daniel didn't play his normal backline role for alot of the game. Just lucky he scored well. You never know where they are gonna line up.

Should I take Cripps 112 with the VC loophole or risk it with one of Titch, Bont, Oliver, Danger and Cogs
I would risk it. I like Bont against injury-depleted Pies midfield.
I am rolling the dice... Will be hard to stomach if we get it wrong. I hope all c's do well this week as the feeling of missing out will be overwhelming.
I decided to risk Bont as my C
He scored 76
I hurts a little
I'm now 4/475+C

I'm an avid Bulldogs fan but I tell you what, Bevo gives me the s###ts on a more regular basis then I would like when it comes to team selection and tactics. I didn't watch the game, so I have no idea what happened. But how Gardner and Young can get a game over Schache and Trengrove is an embarrassment from that entire selection committee. We were embarrassed by GWS in the first week of finals and we have 6 months off to prepare for round one (albeit under completely foreign environment) and we dish up this score? Once again Bevo, your complicated tactics has dished up a bad score and another 3 brownlow votes for Grundy.
I'm with you on that but i get the Young selection as back up ruck coz he done well scoring goals in Marsh. I not a fan of Trengove but he is a better Ruck scrapper that can actually go body to body around the ground better.

You bloody bastard, Grundy!!!!

... ok ... how am I going to get Grundy into my team?

lol. I love this game.

Oh, but the hurt of week 1.

I have to say, some poor bugger will have Dunk, Crisp, Bont and no Grundy...
Just remember to that poor sod, don't trade your premiums, right? Are they going to end up with the same average as the first game? No way!
I mean, it would be piss funny if they did, if you didn't own them. Especially if Grundy ends up with an average of 160...

I honestly thought English would do waaaaaaaay better. I almost brought him in, in fact.

I've come to a conclusion on the shortened game format:
The really good players score really good and the really crap players score really crap!

But seriously, Collingwood looked scary good, looks like everything is falling into place for Bucks. Grundy an Howe looked awesome. I think they will do this to many teams. Gave the opposition no space. I picked the Dogs for a top 4 spot this year, they can't be that bad.

I can't quite recall where I heard and I may be wrong, but McCasey may be playing a lock down type roll instead of an intercept role to start with. But don't let that sway you. @Herbie66 is probably all over this?
Im hoping he can intercept a bit, especially with the ‘smaller’ Sydney forward line.

I’m also guessing he has a higher TOG then Brander and Starcevich but it’s all guess work really.

LOL no just no

if only the bulldogs had played properly and still let grundy dominate that would have been great
