I agree. There's no new scoring - the existing system just gets extrapolated (which is what leads to more high scores, and more low scores).

Whether there is a sustained change in game style to account for the shorter games is a different question, but it's still very early.
They really should have reduced the 3300 number by 17.5% the same as they reduced the game time by. That probably would have resulted in more realistic scores.

It's going to have an impact on scoring this year... And will also impact starting prices next year.

If they had done that, then the scores would all be lower by that amount, and every regular player would be overpriced ... unless they also changed the magic number.

The shorter games will impact individual players' individual game scores, but shouldn't meaningfully impact their average over a season, unless they are players who are better suited to playing low minutes (eg perhaps NicNat) or better suited to whatever game style eventuates.

Someone like a Heeney can have some low games too. Maybe his 80s become 70s or 60s.

Yeah very true. I guess no one knew the type of Impact shorter games would have on scoring.

The question is... will CD make any adjustments, and will they let us know.

It will be interesting to see if Heeney can maintain it.
No Buddy, no Reid helped.
Buddy still a couple of weeks away, Reid has a calf (old mans) niggle.

Do you do something drastic and go for broke with a trade like Gawn to Naismith and a Rookie FWD to Heeney before the price rise?
Have to see how Mr Gawn is going...
