I used to use the Eastern Freeway all the time and people would always drive down the emergency lane during peak hour. Not slowly either. I hope the truck driver wasn't trying to do that.

There is a real mystery about the truck driver. I am eager to find out what happened? If he was driving in the emergency lane, you would think that he would have seen the cop's car flashing lights ahead?

.......The truck driver had a medical episode after the crash, blacked out and is in hospital under police guard.
Police raided the truck driver's Cranbourne home on Wednesday night and are yet to reveal what they found.

FORMER St Kilda forward Arryn Siposs is on the verge of becoming the fifth ex-AFL player to realise his NFL dream, signing as an undrafted free agent to the Detroit Lions on Sunday morning.

Siposs was overlooked throughout the three-day NFL Draft, with only two punters selected in the entire seven rounds, but was among the first players to sign with a team as an undrafted free agent in the aftermath.

He will likely battle with the experienced Matt Wile and the relatively untried Jack Fox for the starting role at Detroit, after the Lions moved on from veteran punter Sam Martin last month.

Siposs revealed last week that the New York Jets and the Atlanta Falcons, as well as Detroit, had registered their interest in selecting him prior to the draft.

However, the Jets took Texas A&M's Braden Mann and the Falcons opted for Sterling Hofrichter out of Syracuse.

However, Siposs eventually earned his opportunity and will now look to join Darren Bennett, Ben Graham, Sav Rocca and Chris Bryan in playing at both AFL and NFL level.

Siposs, 27, has spent the last two seasons in the United States, having been delisted by St Kilda after just 28 senior games at the end of 2015.

He committed to Auburn University ahead of its 2018 campaign, ranking inside the top-20 nationally for yards-per-punt (44.2 yards) throughout his freshman season with the college football powerhouse.

This seems like a strange one, given we don’t know what this season looks like yet?

I thought clubs were likely to use more of their 44 man squads to help get fit and fresh players on the park if/when games start getting played on a <7 day cycle.

I think I’m missing something here?

............the Crows have confirmed Fagan was referring to “eight” staff — not players — that had already been informed they wouldn’t be part of the Crows’ future plans..........
