Watched series 2 of After Life over the weekend. Came away a bit disappointed and a little confused. Not sure if the intention was for the series to be a comedy or a more serious than season 1. Had a little bit of both but didn't execute either all that well.

Started watching Schitt’s Creek on the weekend and just finished season 1. Quite enjoying it, and I reckon it’s getting better.
We are quite enjoying Kim’s Convenience on Netflix at the moment:

Thanks for the recommendations. Will likely give one of these a go once I’ve finished Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt- https://www.imdb.com/title/tt3339966/

Description: Rescued after 15 years in a cult, Kimmy Schmidt decides to reclaim her life by venturing to New York, where she experiences everyday life with wide-eyed enthusiasm. On a whim, she rents a room from Titus, a gay wannabe Broadway actor, who makes ends meet as a street performer in Times Square. The unlikely pair find they're well-suited to help each other out, with Titus reintroducing Kimmy to modern life, and her providing him with the inspiration that you should never give up. Together they'll make it through whatever life throws at them.

Ah yes - my fiancée likes that one. I’ve seen a few episodes but not got into it as yet.

Schitt’s Creek in particular is well worth watching. Was basically a sleeper/breakout hit in its last season or two.

Thanks. With Binge arriving I will likely go through the likes of 30 Rock, Parks and Recreation, Veep, Boardwalk Empire and Sopranos meaning it (Schitt’s Creek) will be lower down the pecking order, but I’ll make sure to give it a go eventually.

Nice - are you revisiting those? I assume they’re not all new to you. First three are very good from my experience.

Majority are all new. Seen a couple of episodes/bits of 30 Rock and Boardwalk Empire and have caught Season 1 and 2 of Parks and Recreation on ABC.

Oh wow - you have some good watching ahead of you then!

Parks and Rec is my favorite amongst those, with significant changes to Leslie’s character from about season two on. 30 Rock was enjoyable and Veep can be very clever, but some of the characters are harder to warm to (by design!).

1 down, 4 to go.

Great series and glad to see Billy Eichner have a recurring role towards the end.
