loved the intro .. but no words ... could do a lot with that tune IMO ...
Nooooooooooooooooooooo, lol... Metallica fans worldwide shaking their heads, hahahaha
This Instrumental song is held in very high regard by nearly all Metallica fans due to the influence and performance on it of the late great bassist Cliff Burton who would tragically die in a bus accident just 6 months after the album was released in March 1986. This is Cliff's song. No lyrics needed, lol
They never performed it live in the 6 months between album release and Cliff's death, and the band chose never to perform it live in full until a shock performance in November 2005 some 19 years after it's release.
Since then it's only been performed 68 times live (Which is quite rare considering the amount of concerts Metallica perform), and it is a real rarity.
I was extremely lucky to have seen them perform it live in 2010, in what was then only the 28th ever live performance of the song.
To this day, hearing it live remains right up there as one of my personal greatest Metallica memories along with meeting the band in 1998 & 2013.
Here's a 2018 performance with Rob Trujillo on bass... Who does an amazing performance as well.
And here's a rare clip of Cliff from 1983 performing his song Anesthesia (Pulling Teeth)...
