Be amazed if those getting him in trade him out in round 4 or 5, which seems to be the target range.

Most will then be looking at downgrade/upgrade options to try and get to a complete team as quick as possible. Leaving Viney at M6, then M7 and then M8. Ultimate trap!

Could be beneficial at round 4 or 5 if a Cripps/Fyfe goes down in the same week, can then make two sideways trades and make some cash - but we don't plan for that scenario.
Can also be flirting with danger trying to get to full premo with the lack of rookies other than a few to make cash by round 3 and bringing in 2 for next round if they show up. Then having to wait another 2 weeks for price rise leaving you with around 13 weeks

Don’t see as many rookies making a lot of cash this season, with a shortened season.
Yeh if there isn't bye rounds u don't have the luxury of 9 trades in 3 weeks to round off ur team and the best rookies looking like gettin 150k.
If a rookie in round 2 doesn't show up then u have to wait for round 3 to have a look.
Then you have to bring them in round 4 and hope they produce 150k+ for 4-6 weeks leaving you at round 10 with 7 games left.
Most teams have 11-14 Keepers leaving you to do 1 up 1 down each week, which requires 8-11 weeks to get there.

People could also be looking at a straight forward sideways trade to a fallen defender or forward who has dropped in price around round 4/5.

TJL - > Kropenyeri-Pickett
Riewoldt - > Georgiades
Cavarra - > Sturt
BZT - > Jacobs via Williams (moves Naismith to R3)
Green - > Viney (M6) allows McInerney & Brown on the bench

Viney makes a quick $ 100 k , sideways him to Whitfield , Dusty or Son Son etc or one of the 100 breakout Forward contenders

Round 3 look at Bennell , Doedee , Hill , Rankine etc etc

Round 2 is the old round 3. Rookie corrections. Unfortunately some rookies, who may have played early season games, were worth a punt but the passage of time has, like sands through the hour glass, made them fiscal liabilities. 5 rookies out 5 rookies in...and the money train slowly pulls out from the station siding cheered on by the second wave.

easy in theory , maybe not so much in practice

of the 10 best scoring rookies in Round 1 Stengle is already out , Sturt is under a injury cloud , Brown , Georgiades both may be dropped so that's 6 left

not sure who the 5 replacement rookies are , if you are willing to share

most probably have 6-8 onfield + 8 on the bench

I guess you just replace the worst 5 with the best alternatives (and hope)

Your right of course, not easy, but I have at least 6 rookies who are odds on to be dropped. At his price I don't mind leaving Budarick on the bench, but I need to hope for at least 5 replacement rookies who at least have a chance of earning some coin, but maybe wishful thinking.
I doubt many out there also have Zach Guthrie to contend with

Yeap my back line is a mess, sweating on Hill lacing up the boots for RD2.
