Thinking of doing
Cavarra > Sturt
Tom Green > Bennell
Max King > Darcy Fort (if Fort is named)
Cogs > Viney

Alternatively can go Oliver > Viney but not sure what to do with the remaining cash.

This allows me to put Fort F5 and Sturt/Taylor F6
Can also go Oliver to Viney and Houston to Howe, which would give me 113k in the bank to upgrade Viney after round 3 > (or sideways Viney back to an Oliver type and look at trading Fort shortly thereafter)

But there will probably be too many rookie changes required to allow this trade

Why Cogs?

I think Oliver is the better player who is much less injury prone. I still reckon Oliver can go to another level but it could also be argued the shorter format with scaling helps a player like Cogs who scores a lot of goals. Trading Oliver gives me more money (44k) which would allow me more freedom when trading Viney but it would also leave me with a worse player.

I’m pretty set on:

Bont/ABrayshaw/McAsey/BZT/Green
to
Gawn/Viney/Townsend/Rivers/Sturt

Hoping no ugly surprises at selection.
Holding Naismith at R3

I'm a little unsettled with my trades, must have reversed them a hundo times looking for the right combination.

Currently

Macrae, Yeo, Brayshaw, Roberton, Naismith
to
Gawn, Danger, Hurn, Bennell/rivers, Sturt

Yes, I'm holding Naismith at R3 for cash gen. He should still make at least 100k quickly (even if he misses this week...). Holding Roberton for a week too. Option to flick to Doedee or just hold if he comes good.

Those trades look pretty good though. I think the more GnR approach seems a bit more viable with some better rookies presenting (compared to Round 1).

My gut says concentrate on those guys that can go large, Danger, Hurn and Gawn could each put out some 150+ scores, add vc/c options and there money for jam. I don't mind Viney, Howe and even Long, but I am worried they can just as easilly head back the other way and pose an issue later down the track. At least these 3 I know will remain in the team if they avoid injury/susp.

That's what I'm tossing up, to go Guns and Rookies, or Midpricers because the potential of lack of money generating players.
I'm waiting for the teams to be released before making a decision.

What's Mr TJ Lynch going to do , is he a hold or a trade to Long ........any thoughts on this
For me trading him to Petracca. Lynch was a last minute in for me due to my overexcitement at having a game of footy on. I dont think the faster pace suited him at all.
Long looks a good quick cash cow. If your gut says Lynch won't be a keeper and you have a plan for the spare $ go for it I think. Personally I prefer a keeper type swap like Trac, Wingard or Devon though

I'll do the following if enough of my rookies are named (although I'm throwing away some of the ones who might not appear)

Tom Green > Bennell
Sturt > Cavarra
Max King > Darcy Fort
Oliver > Viney
Houston > Howe

Leaves me 113k to trade Viney and/or Howe out in 2 weeks time.

My trades looking to be something like:
TJ Lynch > Petracca
Bont > Grundy
BZT > Sturt
Z Guthrie > S Hill or Rivers
Green or Starcevich > Bennell

Requires some serious DPP movement but it works. Unfortunately will have to lock at least 4 of them in tomorrow to be able to afford Grundy... so fingers crossed ?

Operation: Structural Overhaul

Only chance I’ll get to resurrect team so should probably just do it!

Mid priced madness and high price rookies that failed in Round 1 going for G’n’R with hopefully two top shelf premiums.

Out: McCluggage, Parish, Brayshaw, Guthrie, BZT
In: Grundy, Neale, Sturt, McInerney, Rivers

If anything I'm wondering how to fit in all of these cash cows that seem to be presenting! Have 8 potential bubble boys listed for round 3, could be more yet.

Also I think it is worth considering that we should get more cheap premo options this year ... if you're not set on your specific premos, there should be plenty of viable options over time, given the likely volatility in scoring.

Does anyone know where we can check out projected price changes for 2-3+ weeks. Too serious isn't updated.

Wondering what will happen to Bonts price if he scores 85 for the next 2 weeks. And what his Breakeven would be going into round 4.

Have you looked at another scenario where you trade Naismith to Gawn?

Curious to know what the X v Y would be, i.e what is the on-field trade off elsewhere in exchange for keeping Naismith at R3.
