Yeah I have Grawndy. I traded Naismith to Gawn last round and do intend to trade in Pittonet at R3 (pivoting BWilliams into defence).

Naismith to Pittonet looks a bit ugly but given Naismith might be out for 1-2 more weeks and in that time Pittonet could generate 130k with 100s, I’d do that trade.
Nice one! It sounds like your team is coming together well... Gotta be happy you ended up trading Gawn and Howe in.

Cheers for the sage advice. I'm going to try to avoid looking at my team until Thursday night now so I don't come up with any outlandish trade ideas haha.

Sloane (injury dependent) and Houston to Rozee and Lloyd is on the agenda for me.
It is annoying having Sloane as they may give him till Sunday to prove fitness so you have to trade early if you want someone of significance although Oliver,Fyfe play later that day.

Brodie Smith out
Conor Rozee in via Brander.

Not set on Howe, starring atm and $1k short, waiting for an injury.

Looking at Houston out, but with Ollie Wines back and Burton under an injury cloud with a knee, we could see Houston back in defence getting some much needed touches.

Excerpt from above article:
And how did Stephen Hill look out there?
Stephen was great, he patrolled across the half-back line. He had great composure with ball in hand and didn’t look like he was holding back at all. He gave himself every chance to be ready to go in round three.
Glad he hasn't come in yet as he could be week 4-5 trade in for Noble.

Yep, couldn't be happier with both Howe and Gawn in! Lucky I swung that way as I had XYs without those options! Goes to show how the game is more about trading than your starting side.

Anyone have any thoughts on SPS? Improver last year and I had him under consideration this year but I could not squeeze him in. Did not see Carlton game on weekend. Thanks in advance.
He's in my consideration for the Houston trade, assuming team selection doesn't throw a whole heap of unexpected challenges (I'm thinking there will be a bit of "sore/managed" going around this week).

But like you, didn't see the game.

need to get serious

Sloane - > Cameron via DPP
Jacobs - > Gawn

if I mess around too much with Jacobs , Pittonet & Naismith to get to Gawn , half the season will be gone.

Then relying on my rookies to moo

Starcevich , Rivers / Brander , Noble
Pickett , Bennell / McInerney , Brown , Mahony
/ Williams
Taylor , Cameron , KPP / Budarick , Cavarra

4 DNP from last round and a few on the chopping block , just hope team selections are kind

I'm still torn about keeping Noble vs Doedee

I watched the Tigers v Pies and didn't think Noble looked that bad. Maybe he just struggled because the game was so high intensity. Probably won't get he same pressure from other teams so he might get more clean ball.

I didn't see the Adelaide v Port game, but the ball would have been at the right end for Doedee to get opportunity. Maybe Adelaide aren't a good enough team to apply enough pressure in the midfield to allow Doedee to intercept.

Unfortunately I can't ditch both and still bring in Cameron and Pittonet because I think I'd rather keep Bewley who is the one I'm going to have to chop

BZT to Bennell via Rivers seems an easy move.
Cavarra the other out.

Decision then comes down to Pittonet vs Cameron. Have Grundy/Gawn so Pittonet would be just sitting at R3.

The cash itb could allow me the option to sideways Macrae/Bont in round 4 if necessary. Does Pittonet earn enough extra cash over Cameron to make him worth the extra outlay?
To my mind if you have G & G this actually limits your point scoring and puts too much cash straight to the bench in this shortened season.
Sure, he should make cash but you still need to be scoring on field.

Agreed, the extra $100K you spend on Pitt is not worth it if it’s sitting at R3. And while he performed well this past round, there is no guarantee he will continue to do so. I’d say most people were quite surprised he did as well as he did.
Cameron, while he has shakier JS, has to do far less to generate cash. The DPP and his use possible use as a viable F6 for the time being makes him the more logical choice, especially if you are running Grawndy/Goldy.

It’s not that much cash on bench in my view. Only 236k. Plenty are running Townsend, Long, Bewley and Doedee types on field. Replace one with a Starcevich, Rivers or Budarick type and grab potentially one of the best cash generators of the year in Pittonet.

130 odd against Gawn is huge, suggesting he could easily hit 100-110 avg against lesser rucks. Two more 100s will see him make 130k+ in just two weeks! Marshall/ROB both showed how good that No.1 ruck role is.

I wouldn’t overthink it personally.

Darcy Cameron is on a lot of peoples radar as a trade in, but whats his long term JS like? is he straight out once Cox is back?

I currently have a few options I'm mulling over.
1 - Greene/houston out for Cameron(via DPP)/ and Howe/??
2 - Greene for Bennel or Cameron
3 - Jacobs/McRae out for Cameron/Gawn.

Normally wouldnt consider Option 3, but as its very ealry days, and I'm ranked well overall (127th), should i go this to both avoid the cash drop and get Gawn in as it may not be until round 10 i could get him otherwise?

Man I’d be so tempted to do Option 3, but do you have Pittonet already? If not, I’d probably prioritize him, but if so, would be tempted to do Option 3 and just target Bennell the week after.
