Good Question, Bermi! And yes, thank you, Herbie66 - that is correct.

I really advise using Erich's ppt (not just for this comp either) to plan. It's a little difficult to understand, but if you read his instructions, it's no worries at all. You just plonk a '1' in the vacant column, and his Spreadsheet does all the rest.

I have actually Locked and Loaded mine (possibly) already. Ok if you submit multiple versions too. I will only take the last. Pretty easy to sort using excel to wipe all older duplicate copies off and to run each team through a checker in terms of price.

It is absolutely okay not to enter this year - especially as there is no H2H.

I'm pretty snowed under time-wise right now too, but just really happy some footy will start again sooner rather than later.

Lock and Load Comp - III

• 3.5 zillion team capacity (up from 18)
• Team submission starts from NOW and closes at the START of the 3rd AFL Rd - Richmond v Hawkes @ Thu 18/6 5:40 pm.

Rules:

• Select your 30 players - the same as you do in SC under the salary cap (original starting prices). This includes 8 def, 11 mid, 3 ruck and 8 forwards. No need to separate bench players as all players are "Live".
• Submit your team here: <https://forms.gle/TJp4NYJ3jWRggQkQ6>. (Harley Bennell added to the end of the Defender list).
• The best bet to ensure you are under the SC cap is to use Erich's amazing 2020 AFL SuperCoach Selector (using official STARTING prices and positions) Harley missing though.
• Your highest scoring player will score double captain points.
• Your highest 16 scoring players count towards your total score for the round, regardless of positions.
• No H2H in Lock and Load III. The competition will run until the Finals and will not include Finals.
• The competition has no trading! Just 'Set and Forget' and follow your team selection through the year here.

Prizes:
The honour of joining Deeman1 (2018), Tex (GF winner 2019, Tails (Most Points 2019) on the honour roll.

One little elephant in the room. What happens when someone hands in a team over the budget? Good question, especially, as I may not pick this up until Sunday. Don't get too worried about this, as it won't make a difference if you keep to the budget.

As a way of motivating correct budgeting without penalising or rewarding too heavily any team involved, in this situation, I will remove the highest-priced player and replace with the first player of that position that allows the team to go under budget.

I know, right? I will try to publish everyone's teams on the weekend. I imagine some players will be very popular, but there will be some good PODs to appreciate I am sure.

Lastly, and important point for everyone - Seriously, don't feel worried about creating multiple entries if teams drop on Thursday before the game (I think there is an hour or so window, right?) and you need to change your team. Anyway, the data comes with a timestamp, so will download data on Thursday night and simply sort and remove duplicates to leave the latest version of each of your teams. Easiest part of the process, I reckon.

Now ... I am going go and think about my rucks and my choices of injury-prone players waiting to turn into spuds.

Think I have been sucked in by a few players who have out performed in Rd 1 and 2, guess we will see.
