Stuck a bit on this one... With the shortened season is it better to target on-field points or cash cows? Is it better to paint the fence with one up one down trades, or build the bank with two corrective rookie trades?

1. Nic Nat to Pittonet and green to Howe
2. Nic Nat to pittonet and green to Sturt/Cameron/Bennell
3. Green to Sturt/Cameron/Bennell and conroy to Pittonet
1 looks like a winner to me

So if its down to a choice of trading either Houston or Brodie Smith out to fix some issues in defense, which one should I cut? Seems people are a bit more bullish on Smith's role at some point resulting in better scores?
Regarding Smith. Was around the ball a lot on the outside, problem was the inside shovels didn’t get near the ball. Due to other holes I will be holding one more week.?

No chat on Laird? Stinkers because Adelaide is stinky or what??? Leaking points (I benched him for Starcevich last week!) and cash down there!
Too many other spot fires for me to be able to entertain moving him on at this stage.
Also, unlikely to be any DEF rookies that I don't have yet (that look necessary), so guessing I'll just have to back him in to improve at this stage.

I like the English > Pittonet trade

Any other way you can get to Howe? A Noble or Long maybe?
Yeah, I can get there other ways, just think with the trades we have allows me to keep decent players playing and I'd like Howe this week. Gives me a $380k kitty moving forward and can always get Dusty back in..

I was actually hoping Grundy was out.

Downgrade to Pittonet and upgrade elswhere.

Plan to ride it out for 2-5 weeks and see where I landed. Huge risk, however at 700k plus and someone like Pitt sitting at the perfect time I deemed it worth it.

Now want to do the trade, however know it is just to big a risk to go without Grundy this week!

Any advice welcome, keep Jacobs as emergency and if he pumps out a score over 100 leave Conroy on the field and take Jacobs score or get rid of Jacobs ASAP for Pittonet.

Just curious, do you have both Grundy and Gawn? Doing the downgrade seems easier if you have both.

See when a former winner posts something like this my attention level lifts ?

Could certainly see the merit in doing it if it immediately allowed you to upgrade a problematic $ 275-300 k forward & defender to a fallen premium , otherwise you would be waiting a few weeks for the rookie cows to have mooed enough.

Is Gawn your other ruck ?

How long is Martin supposed to be out for? Sore ribs which could mean broken ribs, might be more than just a week.

Are they the same ribs that he was having trouble with before the Collingwood game ? or was that reported as chest ?

Neale or Gawn

If you want to pay unders, take a punt on Rozee
Should of mentioned I have Grawndy. Brought Rozee in last week gladly.

I think it comes down to Neale and Fyfe for me, just scared of paying overs. Payed 650k for Cripps last year instead of getting Treloar at 500k who actually outscored him from then on.

They said on 360 yesterday that he copped it in some intra-club training thing from memory so he would have carried it into that game.
He doesn't often miss too many games.

All I can find is bruised ribs , no mention of a crack/fracture or torn cartilage.

They might tell us a bit more info tonight
