I've been keen to bring in Bailey Smith but am now leaning to Jy Simpkin.
Bailey Smith: more disposals and tackles and massive numbers as a junior in the shadow of all the Walsh hype.
Jye Simpkin: cheaper, lower break even, older and less uncertainty around the team structure.
Might be a toss of the coin type situation but does anyone have any ideas to help the decision?

Bailey Smith could get Bevo'd at any time which is a worry.

I would go for Simpkin.

Agree with Ben that Simpkin seems the better option due to less certainty at the Dogs.

I keep looking at these sort of players (plus Petracca and Rozee for more $). I'm finding it hard to fall in love.

@Kidult would be one of the best to ask.

suspect Libba must be close soon and Hunter has to return , so the Doggies midfield dynamics changes again

I love Smith but not a fan of Magneto.

I'm a sucker for a breakout midfielder with a Fwd next to their name.
I have Dusty, Petracca, Dev Smith and TJ Lynch.
Smith and Lynch are either bargain F5 and F6 or looping F7 or stepping stone. So I'm looking at 2, maybe 3 more spots.
Whitfield with a price drop is on the watch list.
I'm wary of Walters missed games and Chris Scott continually says he will rest Ablett.
Heeney with a massive price drop could make it in but not fully priced playing forward in a poor team.
Rozee is a great talent but has just had 2 of his best scores for the year in big wins and is only a part timer in Port's midfield at the moment.
De Goey has the right role but is struggling, maybe poor conditioning.
Bailey Smith and Simpkin are the only 2 I can see that might fill a forward spot.
I can always leave a spot open and take a chance on a fallen premium. Heeney might be the one if he drops below $400k.

I switched Trac out for Ceglar as a last minute move in round one. I'm very keen to get Trac back in, but maybe Ceglar is viable if he is going to have big games like this one?
