Best 18 probably the right call in the end. Can’t please everyone but think it’s the most logical and consistent ruling.

Looking at how my team is going, i need it to be best 14!
- Whitfield 8
- Cameron 28
- Hanners 41
- Taylor 44
- Pickett 50
- Lynch 61
- Noble 64
Is it best 18 onfield or from your whole squad?

The part that pisses me off is they've justified it by saying well make up points when those players double up later in the year.

Everyone else can trade them in before that you dummies :ROFLMAO:

Really disappointing decision.
It wouldn't surprise me to see someone take legal action over the decision.

So I now lose not only the chance for a good captain score this round, but also lose 6 of my players when some coaches might lose none... and I also lose any price increases from my 6 players, where some coaches might get 30 price rises. And then some coaches also will get the chance to trade in Gawn & Co to benefit from this supposed double game round.

Yeah seems fair.

The best 18 makes sense but the Melb v Ess players doubling up in some future round DOES NOT!!
Ridiculous. So stupid. It doesn't "make up" for the lost scores. It hands an advantage to those who haven't got Melb and Ess players - who can now bring them in on top of the advantage of not having them this round.

This intrigues me part of the article I posted:
We understand those with stars such as Devon Smith, Max Gawn and Jack Viney or rookies such as Harley Bennell and Trent Rivers will be disappointed they won’t be part of their Round 3 score.

We hope the pay off will be already having these players in your team will give you an edge when they play a double in a few rounds’ time.

Does that mean Gawn+Oliver is must trade in asap?
But what about league matches this week? ... and people can now trade them in for the Double week ? What a joke ?

It'll be same setup as a normal round, e.g. EMG can replace zeros onfield, etc. But they will just take the highest 18 scores from whatever you produce. Same as with BBL and EPL fantasy games.
So I only have 17 on field players available on field and my non emergency players are locked because they already played. Great 2 bench scores that don't get counted while I end with a donut

Case in point... my mate has Nic Nat in the ruck... He wanted Gawn this week but couldn't quite afford him and he wanted to Captain him too after last week.... So now he gets Nic Nats monster score this week, A great Captain's score, a huge Nic Nat price rise... and now the opportunity to trade him to Gawn for the double points round.

Gawn as my captain gets me a crap VC score, No chance at a price rise, and denies me the chance to "Double Dip" and trade Gawn in for a double points score.

That is beyond unfair if you ask me and definitely not the best option they could have chosen.
