They might well be on track for a massive score but so could of many of the disadvantaged coaches if they had of been able to use their full teams and have their first choice Captain. Those coaches under this revised "make it up as we go" situation have never been given the chance to be "on track for a massive round".

Hence my preference for the round to voided completely. Giveing ALL coaches the same shot at winning.
So, void every round this happens? Whatever they do this week is THE solution moving forwards.

Nobody wants that. Accept it and move on.

I hear this 80% Luck, 90%, now 95-99% luck.

I did well round1 picking Naismith and not going Gawn who has a small injury and tough run.

Naismith and guys like Whitfield getting injured can be considered unlucky, but part of the game. Whitfield score not in 18 helps somewhat but is still a premium score I missed out on.

Round 2 I was going to go Bont to Neale and Pittonett in for Roberton. Instead, I brought Hurn in worrying about my poor defenders and missed 2 capt scores costing me games.

Gawn out yesterday if you hadn't traded could have been a gift for many to bring Pitt in at R3, if you haven't traded. However, that is the same issue if someone is a late out. Surprisingly most leagues I watched didn't bring him in, although think large % on this site did. Am I lucky to have found this site? maybe.

I think my good and really bad score in R2 have been 95% me, ok for round 3 with the good and bad luck having cancelled each out. I have Smith, Bennell, Rivers, Townsend and will field 21 players.

Trying to get myself off the canvas. Short season doesn't suit my long term cash generational style, nor my ability to make educated guess on the fixtures. Do I get Neale or Simpkin, can Pittonet negate not having Gawn, will Naismith make me money, these issues will determine my season.

The whole fun of SuperCoach is the randomness and chaos. Super premo scoring 6, second gamer scoring 170. Selection table, injury and suspension dramas.
Best 18 is the fairest solution, not gift everyone their 2019 average. That would open the door to a whole world of exploitation. Trade someone in for one game for a certain 120??
For the people bleeding so hard about it this week... next time you may not be impacted at all, will you still be campaigning this hard?
LITS your situation is very individual. You have a sub par vc, coulda gone neale like so many others did, and are heavy on these teams with 6. It's unfortunate, but ask yourself if you would be campaigning this hard if you had 2 players and neale cap?
SuperCoach is navigating the swing a and roundabouts.
RE: ............LITS your situation is very individual.........
Oh no it's not!

From reading the comments above, I would be in favour of cancelling round 3. Changing the rules halfway in a round is just not right or fair.

Then the organisers of SuperCoach give us the rules for future game cancellations, so at least we have some idea what strategy to plan for.

Seems to me the people complaining most and feeling 'dudded' are those who were planning to use Gawn as C (having missed with their VC choice - even though some lucked out getting Pittonets-E in place) and those who don't have Neale as C. (Or don't have him at all). The people who seem to have benefitted most are those who fielded Whitfield (injuries happen all the time, so not that bad) and now don't have to cop his score.

Most of us had choices to make regarding Dusty and Jelly, very unlucky if we used those trades on Melb or Ess players (this could potentially happen with late outs anyway). Would ppl prefer going back to full lockout at the bounce of the first game of the round, removing the loops that people are advantaged and disadvantaged by every week?

But really, anyone going into SC this year with any more than two players from one team was a masochist and only has themselves to blame, it's not like this sort of situation was logically unpredictable.
I can't agree.
Only if we were told ahead what the rules would be for certain situations, then yes, I would be a masochist.

As soon as I heard the Melb/Ess game was cancelled, I switched C to Cripps and benched all my Melb/Ess player so Pittonet went to #2 ruck spot and he turned up with a 135 which was more than handy.

IMO it is what it is. It’s possibly the first of many instances this season and nothing about this season has been normal so far so let’s all just ride the train!

I just laugh off my luck that I flicked off NicNat only to have him pull out a big score and that I pulled in a 700k ruckman to warm the bench ?
If I had foreseen this, Neale would have been locked in.

So let’s recap my SC week:
• Dusty out
• J.Kelly late out
• Mcinerney late out
• Gawn & Pittonet In / Dusty & NicNat Out
• NicNat goes 137 the week I trade him out
• Whitfield concussion, ruled out of the match (Scores a whopping 8)
• Melb/Ess game Cancelled
• Gawn @ 700k warming the bench

But then the winds of change blew in:
• Pittonet scores a 134
• Top 18 on field rule comes in, meaning Whitfields 8 should be washed away
• I helped the guy above in putting his C on Rowell who goes big with another 150+*

*This may or may not happen, but let’s be optmistic ?
