I’m a happy owner. Averaged 80s in his first year, so I think he has upside above that. I gather his first game was a shocker but his score on the weekend was dramatically better. Don’t mind the pick, especially if you’re happy with him as a stepping cow and/or short of alternatives.

Cheers for that. I think cash generation is looking pretty tough at the moment and it may be a challenge to get to a full “proper” Premo team so I’m happy to try to get a couple of rookies off the field with some cheaper “fake” premiums or mid pricers with some upside. I’m hopefully that Doedee can play this role with increased points on field or possibly increase enough in price to facilitate in upgrade later in the season. This trade would leave me with 5 rookies plus Rowell on field.

Makes sense to me. Personally I’m not that bearish on cash gen (although I have picked okay/traded hard to have basically all the good rookies ... for now at least!) but I can see the appeal. I reckon some premos will be temporarily discounted more than normal if you’re not set on who you get, given the more volatile SC scoring due to shorter games. Doedee at D6 scoring in the 80s and possibly a small changeover to a premo at the right time could be an appealing option though. I see him as a stepping stone (unlikely keeper) but am mindful that there’s an outside chance he could do that/think that his floor is probably high enough that it’s a non-disaster if I get stuck with him.

I been having this conversation with myself for the past 2days. I have BZT sitting on the bench just looking to be replaced. Crows DEF will see lots of the sherrin this year. Could be a sneaky D6/D7 for under 300k.

Crouch , Crouch & Sloane the mainstay every round , Sloane at least can play somewhere else , fairly limited where the Crouch boys can go.

They elected to hard tag WOWell after half time as well.

Sloane had the massive corked thigh from round 2. They protected him alot and it made him a little slow and sore to actually tackle.

Currently playing like a 100 gamer ?, averaging 111, could be a spike year, I'd think his average might drop to a 90-95. Previous seasons look all over the place, but his role and run out of defense is first class.

The one risk with Bruzzy is FA's and 50m penalties - he can get a little carried away sometimes so he's a bit more prone to losing a chunk of scoring in an otherwise good game after doing a few stupid things than most.
