Throwing up between strengthening the midfield or the forward line at the moment.

Its either:
Taylor and Howe to Bont and Ridley

or
Taylor and Howe to Wingard/Simpkin and Ridley/Laird/Maynard/Crisp...

Which would you guys go first...

Currently have running 5 main mids Cogs, Macrae, Neale, Rowell, Oliver
and 5 Forwards Petracca, Whitfield, Rozee, Ceglar, Smith
On face value, I probably prefer the second option bringing in the FWD and DEF premiums.
But given you're already so deep up FWD, might be worth going the Bont option and removing a MID rookie.

Hence my notion of rookie based players ths

So gotta think outside the box ...
Looks like your cat was helping you type your reply , but I kinda understand.

Trying to come with some creative trade options short term with the hope of my maximising onfield points.

Aside from T Brown , I might get some benefit from the rest of my bench about Rd 9/10 if they can actually string some games together.

I would be strengthening the midfield.
Cogs is a worry. Rowell won't be playing at home for a while and opposing Coaches may start tagging him, so I would expect his SC pts to be lower.

Rozee to Butler, Howe to Hill (712k in bank... providing no one breaks down this round double upgrade coming up)

Still trying to weight up my best option for Howe and Stewart.

I like Ridley, but tossing up going even cheaper and bringing in Hill and then a proper "premium". Then next week can go with 2 upgrades.

Howe > Hill
Stewart > Sicily

Leaves me with $400k for upgrades next week. Only 2 defensive premiums though which seems very light

I reckon just go for two 'keepers' and not worry about Hill.

Ridley and Sicily sound good to me plus you get a nice cash grab of 100k.

Cogs owners, what are you guys doing with him?

I'm going to trade one of him or Fyfe and at this stage, even if Fyfe misses 3 games I'd probably back him to beat Cogs on total points from here....

I'm keeping Cogs - he's the guy you trade out and the next week hits 200
Agreed - can't see him turning crap - he's a gun player.

In saying that - I know he's on my team, but if it means Hawks win on Sunday, I don't mind if he has another quiet one.

I know I said I wasn't going to think about trades until after thrusday's game (LOL) and that I thought keeping Fyfe for 2-3 was not a good plan but on thinking further I am looking at a double downgrade this week eg Howe/Pickett to Hill/Serong - leaves me with 400k to start a traditional upgrade/downgrade season from next week likely starting with Jake Lloyd/ Mitch Hibberd in round 6. I could go straight to Lloyd and Hibberd this week but I think having the trio of Hill/Serong/Hibberd will give my cash generation a lot more potential in the long run and I sure up my defence with a solid keeper like Lloyd. Those 3 are all rookies that were seriously looked at in pre-season and other than rankine there aren't many others that spring to mind with the scoring potential of these 3 that haven't had a price rise.

The strategy involves short term pain in keeping fyfe (man I could use 3 trades this week!) but the more I think about it the bigger issues I have elsewhere and 2-3 weeks could be less if there are any delays to future rounds due to COVID

If fyfe stays out for a while his cash could be used in a future upgrade downgrade to a fallen premium - eg Fyfe/Mcinerey to yeo/tim kelly

Think I've settled on moving Fyfe to Titch now. Don't want to be holding those potential points on my bench for 3 weeks in a short season.

Second move likely Pickett > Hill via DPP. Leaves me with the below setup. Can't believe I've already waxed 11 trades, yuck.

Titch looks the right move just might get De Boer this week. Unknown how he will cope with the tag from him as we didn't get to see it last year.

Yeah gonna be interesting, I do think there's a chance the tag possibly goes to Jaeger or even Wingard given his form.

With Titch's BE of 100, it's hard to see it going horribly wrong *touches wood*

I don't love any other option for my team, that isn't named Lachie Neale. I just can't stomach paying close to 800k for him. Gaff seems a bit meh, I just don't think his possession numbers are sustainable.

Yeh it is still the right trade just be interesting to see if he reaches the BE for me to pick him next week.
