To those looking at holding Fyfe – Are you picking up Serong to cover him?

My issue is Serong's price. Nets next to no cash if selling a mid rookie like Pickett/Budarick/Brown.

Moving Fyfe to Titch gets a premium in for as long as Fyfe is out and generates more $ than selling one of the above not quite matured cows, to a Serong.
I'm a bit wary of making essentially sideways trades to bring rookies in at the moment, especially if I'm trading a playing rookie like Taylor or King. Rookie corrections with price changes after 2 games are a bit riskier and more likely to blow up in your face, as I've experienced with Bennell, Cameron and Hamill.

I am sooooo tempted to go
Howe & Stewart to Young & Serong (via dpp)
Although my backline this week would be
Doc, Ridley, Noble, Rivers, Brander, Young
Wouldn’t look good especially if Doc gets the predicted Geary tag tonight.
Although it would free up some cash ?

Anyone interested in Stephen Hill? Scored 73 but had something like 50 at 1/4 time. I've still got BZT so I might do a direct swap. Issue is longevity with Hill.
yep. brought him in today. Just need a little luck with his body
I don't think it's luck that Hill needs, just a stronger body.
I looked at BZT to Hill as well, but I am not happy with Hill's longevity or his price, $190,600 compared to BZT's $189,000, no win there.
So, if selected tonight, I'm leaning to WBD's L Butler, Def/Mid $117,300 BE -3. The wins here are that he'll make a quick reasonable profit, $73K straight in the bank and if he's dropped, at least he's a dual position player that could be useful in future trades and if we have another 'best 18' situation.

The Viney cashgrab went from being a great move to Viney missing a game from Covid shenanigans, halting his potential cash gen and Howe's knee exploding, resulting in a real fizzler of a maneuver.

Bont, BZT and dud rookies > Viney, Howe and less dudish rookies round 2 has now turned into Howe and Viney > Bont and Hill in round 5.

I have used 11 trades and feel like my team has gone nowhere, yet I'm still somehow going ok.

Viney & Howe out.
Bont & Hill in.

320k in the bank, will make King > Whitfield an easy move next week at least.

These are literally my exact trades and also my exact thoughts regarding everything I’ve done so far! 11 trades used and 0 net increase in premiums :ROFLMAO:

Also, if Bennell, TBrown and Pickett are all out for my, I will be forced to trade Fyfe and keep Viney as a M8 (Rowell as a M7).

I believe that Butler's disposal efficiency was as low as 21%, hmmm. I'm hoping that was just 1st game nerves, but I am concerned that it is enough reason to drop him???
Did you see him play? Did he perform well in other areas to keep his position in the team?

Yeh I really like the kid he outbodied and outplayed a few players mainly Heeney. Just can't see who will be dropped for Wood unfortunately. A kid who can get 49 points with 21% efficiency is solid, just whether he remains in team is the question. A few of the young pups are strong think I remember West + Vandermeer outbody Aliir Aliir,Mills and Rampe.

I've gone Howe to Hill. Cash will allow Dangerfield next week and Whitfield following week. To me Hill will be more about points on field while while slow burning cash at the same time over Butler with a low break even but iffy JS. There's no right or wrong tbh, each situation i'm sure will suite our teams needs

I was thinking I had at least made a few improvements with mid/premium pricers until I relooked at my trade history. Prior to this round: Lynch, McPherson, McCluggage, Naitanui, Jacobs and Greene to Viney, Hurn, Petracca, Fyfe and Simpkin. I have gone backwards if anything, and I'll probably be offloading two of those five I have brought in either this round or next.

Yeah, I like Howe to Hill better then BZT to Hill. Hill and Butler are both risky, no right or wrong.

Where do you find this? I couldn't find it this year.
Basing this of mobile, desktop is slightly different.

On your team page, change where it says "Field" to "History". On that page should be an arrow in the top bar pointing right. Clicking that gives two options, League Results and Trade History.

Pending teams looking at going
Howe -> Hill/Young
Brown/King -> Wingard

Not convinced on the back premiums at the moment, either have the ones I want or they are over priced while there is still a lot of value in the forward premiums.

Pittonet in is the only clear winner trade I've made so far...

I like the idea of a thread for trade history every 5 rounds, be interesting to see people's good and bad moves over the course of a season.

My history to date:
RD 2:
King > Bennell o
T.Green > Simpkin +
Roberton > SPS +
Brayshaw > Bewley +

RD 3:
MacPherson > Pittonet +
English > Howe - (injury affected)

RD 4:
Houston > Haynes +
Pickett > Rivers o

RD 5: To be determined...

Edit: key: + (win), o (neutral) or - (loss)
