Before this season Hawthorn had played every team outside of Victoria except for two. Collingwood was one, who they played last night. The other is Melbourne, who they play next week.
Think they would have to be one of the first teams, if not the first to play every single team outside there home state?

The most perverse element of football's television problem, coaches say, is that the solution is not more cameras, but strategic use of the two most revealing angles — behind the goals, and the lower wing camera that follows the play from side-on without zooming in.
It is from these angles alone that coaches and analysts decode, process and understand the game.
"I can understand the limitations of the 1980s and 90's, because the fidelity of the vision was not there," one coach says.
"But the fidelity is there now, with how good the HD and 4K technology is.
"They just need to zoom out so we can see more players, and where the guy with the ball is kicking, and what the patterns of play are. That's what we need to see.
"In the end, fans just get used to it and cop it. And it's disappointing, because you want the game to be shown in a better light."

It's pretty stupid when you think about. "The game is too congested and scrappy". Camera angle : close up of congestion.
It's great seeing the battles in the clinches but there needs to be some balance to see the running and setups that happen off the ball.
A good example is viewers have to be told "he's sprinted 50 metres to get to that contest". We never get to see that sprint in real time and appreciate it for ourselves.
However it's probably not as easy as simply zooming out. A large amount of casual fans probably aren't as interested/informed about tactical aspects of the game and they would prefer to see close ups of contests and be able to clearly make out which players are who.

I like the idea of a close up when there is pack but as soon as there is a clearance they should go to a shot that is high and wide down the ground. My favourite spot at the footy is as high as possible where the 50m line meets the boundary because you can see across and down the ground. I've posted before about being behind the goals at the 88 granny. As soon as a Hawks player got possession in the backline the other defenders would move like a forward rugby formation across the ground. You don't see that on the telly.
