Thursday night Round 6 update.

View attachment 18636

Cats too strong for the Lions. Not enough midfield depth and experience once McCluggage went down with that shoulder. Good leasson to learn now rather than in the finals.
Need to learn to convert their chances and put teams away.

I still stand by the fact that the Lions have the best midfield in the comp.

Neale , McCluggage , Berry , Lyons , Zorko , Robinson , Rayner (has taken a big step this year ) etc

Think Cats denied them the corridor.

Were those League Matchups just a once off ?

Can we finish the round now? I'll take 3rd.
Plenty of time yet to catch up on the overall leaders.
Well, good news is I can't fall down the list much further. Being in second in Rd 3 seems a long time ago.
Yeah - it is just a pity we aren't doing a head to head thing this year. In retrospect that would have been better, as it allows for another comp within the comp where overall is not the only indicator of success. Still, nice I am not to be in the bottom half this year ... yet. ;-)

Ahoy all,

Here is the update for the end of Round 6 ... Crazy round, but Zagbag looks like he's hitting the front at this stage*

And of course the leader board* if we include the averages from Melbourne V Essendon and add them (funnily enough, I prefer this one). Also have included the First Week's dream team to see who has overtaken them.

*Subject to checking... very likely this will need updating. :)

lol - I couldn't count from Tails's excel sheet from last year, but I can count this year's... @Tails ?
The games played is a new addition this year (prompted by the ESS / MEL situation) - I have kept the Lock and Load team selections from last year so can go back and work it out when I get some spare time later in the week ;)

Edit: making some serious inway into it this morning ... a bit more mandrolic than this season but should have some results later in the week ...

- I normally take Monday off as a break from fantasy games and use Tuesday / Wednesday to plan the week ahead ... more a SCSUL thing now ...
- Reckon I can get it done and work out how to present the results before the commencement of the next round ...

As promised I can now post some 2019 and 2020 comparisons ....

A few notes:

- I've only used players that have actually played .... (Player Pool)
- Due to the different season lengths I've used a % of games played instead of the straight out number of games played .... (Ave Games Played %)
- I've also included some other metrics that I'm interested in monitoring .... 2020 values will now "automatically" adjust at the completion of each round ...

So back to the original question ... are there more injuries this year?

- I think the answer will become yes but isn't quite evident in the metrics just yet ....

The "metrics" for 2020 change each week ...

- In 2019 there were 79 players that managed to play above the Average Games Played % (AGP%) ...
- Already in 2020 that number is 86 .... but I expect both figures to drop ..
