Assuming Round 9 is still in Perth , wonder if they get a Bye if it affects Simpson's JS at all ?

Some talk that subs might be introduced again......AFL must be desperate to get the season completed

Think if I recall correctly from 7 News earlier tonight, Mark Stevens said yes there were murmurs of the sub returning, but that it wasn't going to happen.

Will be interesting to see how each of the various Fantasy comps adapt to this ....

Pretty sure that I read that for SuperCoach:

- If ESS and MEL play twice in the same round that you would only receive the players highest score ...
- Couple that with possible looming best 18 team scores as per a normal bye round this could very quickly become a nightmare ...
- Or do they adjust the rounds ...

My guess, and sort of understanding given the brief press releases, is that now we won't see a ESS MEL double up in a traditional round will we? So they will be playing within each round, no bye for them, and no need for the highest score only.

My guess, and sort of understanding given the brief press releases, is that now we won't see a ESS MEL double up in a traditional round will we? So they will be playing within each round, no bye for them, and no need for the highest score only.

Yep ... get that point ..... hard to assess right now but 33 games in 19 days means something will have to be decided / adjusted ....

Is the point of the 2020 season just so the AFL can say they have had a 2020 season?

Probably so they can make enough money to ensure that they survive long enough to have a 2021 season ?

So basically two teams having a bye per round. Looks like we will be back to best 18 in two rounds.

Did he though? Scored 85 in the first half, then attempted to lock down Whitfield and simply disappeared. Not sure i'm bringing him in after 1 half of footy!
