Taylor Adams has turned himself into am extremely good footballer. Always knew how to find it, but since coming to the Pies has improved how he uses it, knows what kicks he can make, makes much better decisions, is just a bull on the inside, and spreads hard. Doesn't/isn't probably getting the recognition he deserves for the footy he is playing.
Been hoping someone would make a post like this, he must've put in some serious work to get his ball use to where it is today he's a completely different player to the one that got laughed at for being a clanger king. Has to be one of the best kicks going inside 50 in the comp. Really want to trade him in he does everything you can possibly ask for in sc but his injury history and the fact he puts his head on the line every week scares me.

Yeah, Simpson owners got lucky and Selwood and Clark injuries help him keep his spot. Looked like he had to play tighter tonight. Was he on Daicos?
Appeared to me that during the first sort of quarter and a half that he was playing a defensive half forward role on Maynard.
Then once Selwood was out, Scott released that Maynard attention and used Simpson back up the ground more, on the wing in that role that he had last week. That was my thoughts from what I could sort of see on TV.

He definitely finished on a wing.

Simpson was my planned rookie trade in this week prior to the Fyfe news today which changed things. Bit disappointed not to bring him in, although it wasn't looking like a bad decision at HT. Not going to lose any sleep over it though.

Won't be quite as good value next week, but looking at those numbers it may still be worth getting him one week late.

Played: B Grundy (C), P Dangerfield, S Simpson and J Noble.

Yet to play:
Friday: J Macrae and D Smith
Saturday: L Whitfield, I Rankine, J Simpkin, M Pickett
Sunday: C Rozee, M Pittonet, S Docherty, P Cripps, J Sicily, T Mitchell, C Petracca, L Ryan and E Yeo
Monday: R Laird, T Doedee, M King

Very happy with my Sturt to Simpson trade (largely thanks to his performance in the 2nd half) and the return of Noble. Will bank both scores and means I can avoid playing Starcevich but now have to decide which 2 of M King, C Taylor, M Pickett, H Bennell and C Serong to field.
I tend to go for the ceiling with my rookies on the ground but all have the potential for a good score. Time on ground puts Serong at the bottom. Probably Bennell and Pickett.

I can’t understand anybody considering Jack Steven. He’s averaging just 54.5 from four games. Sure he’s cheap but for good reason.

He looks so far off the pace it’s just not funny. Hands on hips looking absolutely knackered several times during the game and just plain slow.

In a year where we need all hands on deck especially with upcoming byes, he just can’t be relied on with fitness, injury and mental health concerns. How many red flags do you need?
