Could also be a great avenue for the Northern Territory to host a hub as well given they’ve previously had matches in Alice Springs.
Interestingly they already said no to Alice Springs and Moe because of the virus , but NT could be the safest.

Hopefully the England v West Indies , Ireland & Pakistan all run smoothly.

Suspect we will go to England for the ODI series.

CPL is only playing games in Trinidad & Tobago.

Ganguly is already talking about a reduction in the ISO period , seems if you have $$$ you get exemptions.

Not sure how the OS players get here for Big Bash.

"The pacer is said to have spent 'an hour or two' with an unidentified person."

Man's got stamina.
Too think many labelled him as a limited over performer too ?

Apparently his girlfriend.

I am not sure why the players all were allowed to drive individually from Southampton to Manchester in cars.

Surely they would have been better off in a team bus which was part of the biodiversity bubble.

From Cricinfo

There has been some speculation over the policy of players driving their own cars between venues. The ECB insist this was based on medical advice as it avoids the necessity for players to spend hours on coach journeys breathing the same air.

"The advice we had was that it would be safer to keep players away from each other," Giles said. "If there were an infection and you have everyone on a bus, there would be a problem."

England 469/9 dec
West Indies 32/1

Stumps Day 2

Stokes 176 , Sibley 120
Chase 5/172
West Indies burnt their chance of chasing 40-50 less with the chances they gave. Could've been an extra 30-40 runs on the board had they grabbed them.

I am only following on CricBuzz but I think they could be in a lot of trouble.

Top 5 need to start contributing , they can't keep relying on Chase , Dowrich & Holder to keep making runs.

Hopefully Blackwood follows up.

Hope must be on his last chance.

Actually stayed up and watched the last session and the only bowler who looked genuinely troubling to the West Indies was Curran (had another plumb LBW not given they chose not to review 2nd last ball of the day). Doesn't seem to be the wicket that offers the zip that Broad enjoys, but I was impressed with how Woakes bowled his spell. Think he will do most of the damage tomorrow in the first session as he was there or thereabouts with his areas. Bess bowled very full. Think he can afford to drag his length back a little to make the batsman push at the ball some more.

However, the West Indies were seriously tired in the last hour of their fielding innings. I'm amazed they were only one down at the end of the day given the circumstances. Joseph could prove to be a thorn in England's side, if they don't pick him up in the first 5-6 overs as he looks to move the scoring along. Was fun to watch. Would recommend you watch that first 30 minutes just to see how he approaches the morning session.

IPL looking tentatively at Sep 26 to Nov 8 in the UAE.

Assuming CA "allow" the Australian players to play doesn't leave much red ball preparation in time for the first Test.

Imagine the Australian players and the Indian touring squad will have to do the 14 day ISO if still applicable.

Holder won the toss and sent England in

Stokes playing as a specialist batsmen , dropped Crawley for a extra fast bowler , Butler at 6 could be a issue.

@Goodie's Guns

Just reading on cricket.com that Handscomb could be on the move from the Stars , one of the reason being that Dunk is still contracted , surely they could come to some agreement and give a younger player a opportunity.
You would think. The Dunk contract is one of the more extraordinary deals in BBL history in my eyes.
What did he get, a four year deal at ridiculous money?!?! I saw that article as well, and it sounded as though he'll still be there next year, I'm guessing it would cost them more to pay him out (and pay a replacement), than to just wear it for another year.

Handscomb is an interesting one, a move is probably needed for both him personally and the Stars. Maxwell at 3/4 depending on the situation, an in form Maddison, and when needed Nick Larkin seems to fire for them whilst not being a sexy option as such. They probably could do with a better finisher in that 5/6 spot. So yeah, all in all I losing Handscomb wouldn't be the end of the world for the Stars. He'd be a decent pickup for the Hurricane's, maybe even the Thunder.
