Need to :-

* Trade Heeney
* Hope Ceglar (unlikely) & Greene return
* Need Brander , Brown , Cameron McInerney , Rivers to all be named and make some fast $$$
* need to upgrade 2 defender rookies
* need to upgrade 2 midfield rookies
* need to upgrade 6 "fake" premiums
* need to fix Pittonet

shouldn't be that hard to solve it all in 2 days ?
I am in the same boat. The season started so well and has quickly turned to muck.

I will start at the top and bottom and work my way through the list , expecting my season to turn by Round 18 ?

Just have to hope for little improvements along the way.

Current thought process with 341k itb.
Pitt to Grundy locked.

Second trade is then either
Fyfe to Whitfield if Fyfe misses again although i don't like to sideways or
Starc to best rookie downgrade option. Through wonders of dpp that can be any rookie def, mid or fwd. This is the preferred 2nd trade.

Then next week 1 up 1 down, likely B Smith as the target. Only 3 upgrades to go then although rankine may be a keeper, maybe.

A few weeks ago I was thinking $700k Gawn and $450k Pittonet. Not bad.
But now Gawn is almost $800k!
That went pear shaped.
It wasn't my year this year anyway but I'm now of the thinking that the only way I can make up significant ground is to gamble against Gawn and if the pear gets smashed then so be it. It would also increase my chance of a weekly prize by swimming against the tide.

But Pittonet has to go.
Maybe its not too late to get onto Goldy

Apparently Gawn is getting traded to Hawthorn next season ? so Clarko wanted him to feel welcome.

Ok I made that up

No idea to be honest didn't watch the game or listen to it on radio as the Port v Carlton game was shown here on FTA on a 3 hour delay.

Not sure if Gawn is underpriced for what he is delivering now or not.

Mr Hindsight will tell me I should have just started Gawn + Grundy and 28 rookies.

I wonder how competitive a starting side like that would be ?
It would probably be good, up to the point where you have 10 donuts on field

I wonder how insane a Pittonet > English trade would be with one eye on moving English to Gawn after a few tasty price rises?

Risky, no doubt.
Would be easier if we knew the draw. Plays the Suns next and Witts can bring scores down purely because of his big frame reducing opposition hitouts. The doggies haven't played WC or Freo so a good chance to go west after that. If he gets NicNat his profit could stop really quickly.

The scary thing about Gawn is he's already got a lot of tough opponents for ruckmen and the bye out of the way!

English still has to face some of the tougher teams for rucks.

Goldy's had a soft ruck draw to this point. Already played Bombers and Swans. Yet to face Gawn, NicNat, Grundy or Witts. I'm actually considering O'Brien. Has shown he can have a big score.
The only downside is he hasn't played Grundy, Gawn or Goldy either. I'm not sure if that hurts him as much as some as his around the ground work is pretty good

It must have crossed people's minds (@Rowsus ), but nobody (I don't think) has mentioned the option of trading Gawn out. Assuming you have 2 very good captain options, ie Grundy, Neale. I suppose the extra game melbourne will have are deterring people from contemplating it or talking about it?

I have just forked out for him, lol.

No way he's going anywhere in the short term ?

Need to bring in a premo defender to get at least one of Starc and Williamson off the field.

H. Young to Rampe ?
Budarick to Whitfield
I've been gee-ing up for Rampe, behind closed doors, for 2-3 weeks now. All he needed was Sydney to get some tall players back. Sinclair and Aliir back, Rampe goes big!

Lynch > Greenwood (seems to have taken Rowell's mid minutes)
Pittonet > English (for now)

edit....on this weeks scores that's around a 280pt improvement:eek: But realistically hoping more like an 80-100pt/week improvement

The best ruckmen are a factor but are not always the hardest opponents. Tackles seems to be O'Briens thing. Has the most for Adelaide this year!

Same here. Shocked that he is has not been mention at all. Can throw in a sub 70 score but can go very huge.
