Don't think he has been mentioned yet, but Tom Hawkins anyone? Averaged 66 this year and 95 last year. If he can overcome his back injury (I think it is) I think he will be under priced at around 350K?

Depending on Jack Gunston's form during preseason, I believe he is a better pick then Hawkins as he doesn't have an injury concern and is hopefully still HOT from final series this year. Gunston is going to be my POD (if he is one) in my forward line. I hope and pray that he has a breakout year in 2014 because A he deserves it and B is only $394,250 or something.

Hmm good point. Hawkins could be more of a POD haha. Don't think i'll be slotting Gunston into my team if Daisy gets DPP

Im having liam mcbean in forwards with two rookie rucks on bench so when they have finished cash cowing i can swing nicnat into the forwards and pick the premium rucks because i starting to believe minson and goldie won't be as good as 2013.

Been considering this too and agree with the Minson/Goldie call. That's a tough one. I think someone said in the ruck thread something like 'ruckman who dominate, seem to drop off the next year' which has been the case with Mumford, Maric, Sauce.

Shouldn't he be priced higher than that? Avg 83 from 20 games.. so more toward 450K?

I have stuffed up the pricing because i haven't done maths since 2010. But you get the idea.

While I can see Hawkins going 105+ if fully fit, I won't be picking him up next year as I don't think he'll get a full preseason for one, and secondly because I don't think he'll get back to full fitness (as in aerobically) for a while after this season.

This step, to "force" teams not to rest half their regular players needs to be taken one step further. Fremantle, in addition to resting half its' team, played the most bruise-free football possible. All the key areas of body contact, and competitiveness were way down on season averages. Tackles, contested possessions etc were nearly non existent for Freo that day. Yes, make them pick a proper side, but also force them to play properly!

Pffft, that rule holds as much water as a tennis racquet. What a load of wishy-washy BS!

It's a rule designed to be interpreted 1,627 different ways (Rowsus may be able to find a few more) just to suit the AFL so they can pick and choose whether to fine a club for something they don't like.

Your assessment of 14 Premiums is probably a little high. I'm not sure that Hartlett, Cloke, Mundy and Martin qualified as "Premium" selections at the beginning of 2013, and maybe only one or two of them qualified as Premiums by the end of 2013.

Should be a good POD, though the body is a concern as always. Will probably toss up between him and Pav for my last forward spot.
