Torn about who to trade out for a FWD premium this week, deciding between King, Fort and Taylor. King has the lowest B/E, and has solid J/S, but isn't likely to score particularly highly. Taylor is obviously very up and down, not one to rely on for an F6. Fort has been a reasonable scorer / cash generator, but isn't likely to make any more money.

Thoughts?

Yea, I'm just going to get Gawn and find PODs elsewhere. HArd to ignore a very unpoddy trade in this week in BSmith though.
Who do you have at R1 & R2? I would love to pass on Gawn but feel like I have to get him as I have the Pitt

I actually think King's height will punish Port this week and Taylor likely to go past 300k in a few weeks so probably Fort.
Ben Brown's height was a factor last year against Port when he kicked 10. King shouldn't have as big of a game but I can see him being a big threat.

I'm trading C Taylor out for Greenwood , Taylor's BE is 80 although I know I'm losing an active player.

Is this the time to do something different and move on Patrick Cripps?

5th highest owned midfielder - 53.3% of teams.
Ranked 37th midfielder on averages - 98.6
Breakeven - 168

I was planning to upgrade two rookies to Smith & Trac. However, I could create a POD by moving out Cripps instead of a rookie. It means an extra rookie on field now but he has a bye in two weeks. It would also mean with my bank that I could bring in 4 premiums over the next two weeks - Probably targeting Oliver & Merrett/Shiel who won’t have byes after Trac & Smith but if I kept Cripps I would most likely only get 3.

So the way I see it, it could be a break even over the next few weeks. However, if he doesn’t find form I have created a positive POD by not having him.

Is this a risk work taking to try and climb a few spots from my 11k ranking?

I don’t think trading out a player averaging 98 who’s about to bottom out in price is probably the best play.

Maybe target more pod upgrades rather than the typical ones to climb. E.g Rampe over Bailey Smith this week.

Disclaimer this is my first full season but from what I’ve read from more experienced coaches - trading out premos never seems to end well. The premo about to leak serious cash seems to be the only time it’s worth thinking about.

Wanting to upgrade D Smith but with limited cash.

Pondering McInerney out and some rookie yet to be decided in.

Then using cash to turn D Smith into a better midfielder with one of following under consideration.

Telly. Wanted him a couple of weeks ago but fell a few k short. On the plus side is back home and that makes big difference to him and the Eagles play better at home. BUT worried about Shuey coming back and Telly getting less action.

Gaff. Had him originally but traded him out when WC went to Qld where Gaff had a lousy record. So Gaff goes okay in Qld and makes his previous record a lie. Loves Optus. Yes????

A Brayshaw. Coming good. But only since Fyfe has not played or had that silly game when he played as a forward. I can have him as a fwd which is a plus. But does the honeymoon end when Fyfe is back.

J Viney. Never thought Viney as SC relevant with too many other more reliable players in front of him. Has shown he can get good scores but has some dog games as well.

Or if I trade out M King and bring in say Frederick I can afford the following. Downside is I have no Fwd bench cover so risk a doughnut if Frederick is dropped.

Bont. Not lived up to expectations. Only one big score to date and there are some other Dogs coming back from injury. Could be a death of a thousand cuts.

L Parker. Never been a fan but apart from one dud score has done the job at the Swans. Can he keep it going? Kennedy out for another 5 weeks probably helps.

Any thoughts appreciated as this is doing my head in.
Bont. Only top 12 mid on that list imho. Enjoy the roller-coaster but only if that rookie has promise.
