Dusty vs Bailey Smith?
Current keepers forward are Petracca, Whitfield and Devon.
Was all set on Bailey but also remembered that Dusty does tend to start seasons slower than he ends them. Is Dusty playing enough midfield?
Who do you think will average more from here on?
Thanks in advance

Smith. With Simpkin out, I'm running with Dusty F2 this week* and very nervous, as he has had two 100 scores this year (one was exactly 100 last week, the other back in Rd 1). He would need to improve a lot to match Smith's 103 average. I don't see it in a compressed season.

* I'm running with King at F3 this week, plus 2 rookies and D. Smith in the mids. No choice about it due to injuries and omissions, I already know I am going to have a shocker this round. That is after trades too...

I agree with @Ironhawk. Smith by miles for me - he seems to be getting a lot of CBAs pretty consistently, and he seems to be consistently trying ... I am less sure that Dusty will tick those boxes.

Greenwood is a higher price point but is one I would add to the watchlist if you’re wondering who to Target more broadly (alongside Simpkin - noting a high BE and late out potential near term). Greenwood has killed it post Rowell.

Thanks guys. I’d love to get Greenwood but his price makes it more difficult. Dusty and Smith I can get with one trade. Will need to see teams tonight to see if there is a downgrade I can make to get Greenwood.
Much appreciated :)

This makes sense. Personally I reckon I’ll put Greenwood on my medium term list and try to grab him nearer to $500k if he has a lower score. Would love to have him as is, but it’s a big price for someone who isn’t a proven top scorer/a mid or ruck.

Now that I think about it, I reckon that we will see even more players post unusually low (and high) scores through this condensed schedule period.

This was already happening given shortened games (increasing volatility) but could be exacerbated further given 3,300 points still need to be awarded ... but some players will be playing fresh (having been rested, or off a longer break between matches - eg 6 days vs 4), while others may be playing tired or potentially even through a niggle that’s harder to get up from with the shorter breaks.

This might mean that we can jag some first- or near first-tier type players a bit cheaper in the next six weeks or so, especially if we are willing to be slightly flexible on their specific identities (noting bye management as one o***etting challenge).

That's what I was thinking (hoping). Since I have 2 DEFs, 2 Mids & 2 Fwds to complete my team, and 4 extra trades, I'm thinking of targeting the best I can get, as opposed to good midpricers.

McKay got his score basically on the back of his 15 x 1%'s. He wn't do that every week.
Of the two, I'd go McP.
Thanks for that Rowsus, named on extended bench just hope he can make the cut ?

Got another question, would you take Budarick 59 or back Hill and Taylor to beat that ?

I'm not a Hill fan, but I am a Taylor fan. Taylor is about 2nd last on my Rookie trade out list, as I think he's a solid 65-70 player. He's had 4 scores better than that 59 (76, 78, 79, 100), 1 equal to it (57), 1 lower (44), and 1 injury score (15). If you throw out both the injury score, and the 100, just for balance sake, he's averaging 67, with a good ceiling. I'd go Taylor.

Zorko. Cogs has been a bit frustrating to own this year, inconsistent and who knows when he will get hidden in the forward line again.

Saad vs Crisp?

Crisp feels better as a scorer, but Saad has a game in hand with his "bye" already passed.
Saad for me. I like what I have seen of him this year, no upcoming bye is a benefit too.
