Is Hurn the real deal? or an old man playing a young mans supercoach?
Don't have any genuine insight on this, just worry that the condensed schedule could lead to him being rested or potentially picking up a soft tissue injury. Prefer Stewart, e.g.. His bye timing is a little awkward.

One thing I'd note is that the 'home bonus' isn't really borne out by the numbers for him (as opposed to Luke Ryan, e.g.).

Just found that interesting in terms of his recent performance. Might expect a bump if they get on top of their opposition and their midfield places the opposition under a lot of pressure bringing the ball in.

How did Ladhams go in terms of game impact, out of interest? The score is great (y)
Like him as a player, good athleticism and skills for his size. Thought about him, too, but was really worried after they said Lycett could be back as early as in 1-2 and went with Ivan Soldo in the end.
Got smashed at the centre bounces by Ryder & Marshall , thought he worked his way into around the ground and boundary throw ins , gave away 4 Frees in ruck contests.

Gets involved in the play with handball and links up well enough , probably needs to take a few more contested marks.

Saying tonight they are hoping Lycett is back , so if he is dropped I am probably back to square one , hoping they may try and double team Gawn and then utilise Lycett in attack alongside Dixon & Georgiadis with Marshall out.

I just need to get 2 more games out of him/Ceglar/Cameron before I try and get Goldy/Witts in Round 11 or 12 otherwise if Draper is named , I will play him at R2 for a week or so.

Had a look at Soldo myself , Ryder might have been a good pick too.

Lot of similarly priced options. With Hill and D. Smith being booted, I can get some combo of Gaff/Greene/Simpkin/Bailey Smith/Dusty & Crisp/Maynard/Hurn, and if I boot Anderson instead of Smith it'd be Hurn plus any of the M/Fs. I just wish Hurn's bye wasn't next week.

on the trading blocks;
Doedee and Hill (see how there injury is), Taylor, Williamson

trade targets with 104k in the bank;
dont think i'll be able to get 2 prems so looking to get one of Oliver or Lloyd
Considering holding Doedee and Hill hoping they play this week?(Big ask)

Option is
Out; Williamson, D Smith, C Taylor
In; Ling, Oliver, E Taylor/Bell (only considering these 2 cause depending on rookies debuting next round I feel as if you can get Close next week)

The annoying part is I have to trade Williamson out not knowing the team line ups so hopefully the Swans rookies keep their spot

And hoping next round I can get value picks and afford to do
Out; Hill, Budarick, Pickett
In; Close, B Smith (doggies), M Duncan

Small change:
Tom Green to Darcy Parish
Curtis Taylor to Bradley Close
Max King to Bailey Smith

Means I can get rid of two rookies in the forward line and loop Dev Smith if he struggles to score.
Still have Noble, Budarick and McInerney to harvest over the next few weeks.

Thanks very much, interesting insights and very well presented. So this Luke Ryan you speak of...he is on my short list... what's his home game bump? I've got 3 upgrades to go in Def (Lloyd, when I'm rich, Stewart, and one of Haynes$$$, Hurn, Ryan or Houli???).

McInerney > Close
Hill > Ling
Williamson/Brander > Daniel

Considering Hurn but he screams restings to me through the condensed fixtures. Not sure I trust the old workhorse.

Eyeing off Tom Stewart for a cheap D6 in a couple of weeks.

Hoping to learn more about Doedee ASAP, as I really don't want to have to trade him out.

Even though I'll have a decimated DEF line this week if he (and Hill) miss, I don't think I can justify trading Doedee out (say, for Hurn), just to save 1 week, only for Hurn to then have his BYE next week.

Thoughts?

Ok here goes, time to splash some Pittonet cash...

Noble -> Hurn
Doedee -> Neale (!)
C Taylor -> Geo

Was 10k short of getting B Smith in for Taylor for a triple upgrade so maybe a downgrade to afford someone better for Dev Smith next week is the way to go.
Welcome Lachie, at long last.

I'm looking at:

McAsey > Ling
Budarick > Close
Brander or Starcevich > Lloyd (will trade Brander if he doesn't play)

Hopefully Fyfe is back for me. I had thought a combo of Pickett, Simpson and Bennell would be okay in the mids, but it seems not!
Thinking something very similar. Mcasey, Williamson and Starc is aboslute decimating my backline and holding me back from any decent scoring when premiums do fire.
So will probably do similar and keep Williamson as a warm body until his bye next week, and hoping downgrade him to someone (maybe via Rivers DPP) and upgrade in the midfield to Oliver.
Bringing in Dees players makes sense as they've got another game up their sleeve, after Trac came in last week.

Dev Smith survives another week, but will likely become Oliver next week. Seems like McGrath's extra midfield minutes has killed Smith's scoring.

Early trades look like Hill, Starc & Noble our for Zerrett, Greene & Close
Good trades though just want to point out a possible 'issue'...
Trading Noble for a MID/FWD means you have to move Starc to DEF, how are you planning to then trade Starc to a MID/FWD with no other D/F or D/M in your team...?
I would hate for you to be set with those 3 trades to find out that you can't execute them at the last minute. I apologise if you have a way and I've just caused you grief for no apparent reason.

116k in the bank.

Easily the most cathartic trades I've ever made, my backline is going from terrible to complete over 2 weeks.
Still have Hill and Starc to easily get Stewart in next week too.
Then it's Simpkin and Fyfe on the shopping list.

How much will Close be if he scores :-

45
55
65

say against the Eagles ?

The fixture actually allows me to wait until Saturday to do my 3 trades , so if I don't have a Wed - Fri debutante I don't like , might delay Close for a week.

Cheers
